Good Morning Everyone!
Congratulations on the plastics, Cynthia!!!
QOTD: Don't eat while watching TV, reading or being on the computer. Put your fork down between each bite. Use a baby spoon. Savor each bite. (I sometimes close my eyes while eating something yummy to savor it). Mindfulness! (I used to wolf food down and not even realize that I had eaten it!)
What I ate yesterday: Clif protein bar, 2 string cheese sticks, Mr. Cheese O's, a hamburger (dense protein - stayed down!) and a Clif protein bar.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning all. I have been on such a rolloer coaster ride. I started to feel ill the friday before last but my 20 year high school reunion was that weekend so I convinced myself it was just constipation, but by that Sunday I was having trouble moving around so to the ER I went. I had indeed come down with another nasty diverticulitis infection. I have to start doing better with my fiber. So I go the spend the early part of last week in the hospital and I'm slowly starting to feel better, though I think I may have overdone it with a burger last night and am a little sore today, back to mushies today. Anyway, just a reminder that this surgery isn't a mgic fix for all of my pre-existing health problems. I am having a little trouble on the no-residue diet for the next two weeks until I can add fiber back in. All the recommendations are carby and making my brain nuts.
So excited for your surgery, I cannot wait til I get to that point. 11 months to go about.
QOTD: I lost a decent amount of weight my last year of college by sticking to a high protein diet and that pretty much is my life now as well.
Time Since Surgery: 7 Months
B: Double Scoop Unjury Shake
S: Tuna with some saltines
L: maybe beef stoganoff in the cafeteria or shrimp depends on what looks best
D: Plain Chicken Wings
S: Cheese with a few crackers
The infection did make that scale move though. 160!!!!! (After the IV fluids drained)
