What's on Saturday menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
QOTD: I like garage sales, antique shops, etc. I once found an adorable, very ornate oriental music box with little drawers and lids that open and a rickshaw behind the glass that moves when the music plays.
Yesterday I ate: 2 protein bars, rib-eye steak (which sat like a rock in my pouch and didn't digest for over 1 1/2 hours. I had to fight to keep from throwing it back up.) But hey, it was dense protein! Cottage cheese, Mr. Cheese O's and Oiko's Yogurt. I'm trying to cut out the microwave meals and eat more dense protein and less protein bars. (Still struggling with giving up the yummy protein bars).
Have a great day everyone!
~ Karen

Good for you for trying the ribeye. Beef always agreed with me but I cut ir up the size of pencil erasers in teh beginning and you have to chew well before swallowing... The fact that it stuck around for an hour and a half is because it is supposed to! That is what dense protein does... Never feel like you have to eat a certain size portion...If you have had enough you've had enough...Next time try a smaller portion.

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!
I'm sitting at the airport waiting to fly to Toronto, then on to Hallifax. I don't know if I have wifi at my hotel in PEI, so I'll check in this week as I can.
Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts about my situation with my daughter yesterday. Things have resolved themselves nicely. And... I don't think it's bad, but I'm looking forward to a week away from the teenage drama.
Qotd: I don't really do antique stores anymore, just thrift stores. My friend and I have some stores mapped out in Denver and we make the rounds several times a year. I always find some little treasure for everyone at home. Love thrifting! Have fun today, JB and Grim!
Food:
i don't have a great plan for my trip. I have protein bars and beef jerky. I just ate a bacon egg biscuit minus biscuit. I plan to make protein forward choices.

BE NOT AFRAID JPII
Good morning! Hope you have a great day after your ugly week. We have some odd and ends stuff to get done today (take Em's clarinet to get a pad replaced so it's ready for school in a few weeks, swimming at the gym and deciding how to celebrate hubby for his birthday that's on Wednesday).
QOTD: I like browsing antique stores for a bit but haven't found anything specific that I can think of. Hubby collects stuff (I know I've mentioned that before!) so he has founds clocks (he likes old soda clocks and he has several as well as a Hamms beer moving one.)
Meal plan for the day is a latte and shake for breakfast, albacore salad for lunch, usual snacks in the afternoon and dinner is TBD. 6 miles done this morning and water/vits on track.
Hope everyone has a great day!
QOTD: No never really antiquing, but I have been known to buy a few things at a thrift store. I still have a great freestanding old wooden cost rack I bought at a thrift store when I was like 20 for my apartment. Still use it daily. Now my thrifting is a local FB group that I have gotten tons of baby stuff on for when the grandkids visit- toys, pack n' play, stroller etc...
There is also the great craft fair I used to go to in Boston every year with my Brother and his family, when my son was young... I promised my niece I would come back this year... so hopefully I will be able to hang with you and Grim at some point that weekend too... it is not until November... Boston Christmas Festival
NSV: SO I had a non scale victory last night which really got highlighted to me, because this week a friend of a friend really wanted to talk to me about my surgeries....She wasn't saying she was thinking about it...but I know she is because 2 weeks ago she was a wedding and fell on the dance floor and hurt herself badly- had to be rushed to the ER, is in a wheel chair now and is waiting on surgery...not sure exactly what she did. My friend said she was so embarrassed- well naturally...
So last night I had a painting class I was teaching at the library- I have to cart in all the supplies which is a PITA... So I have a tall metal wheel cart - like an old fashioned personal shopping cart people used to use if you lived in the city... it has special back wheels for going over steps. Anyway I was on the sidewalk pushing it and the front wheel got caught on some unevenness I pushed the cart forward, it fell over and I am not even sure what happened but I fell forward landed on it and kinda flipped over it... Me and my stuff were sprawled everywhere. I am fine. A little sore in my neck and shoulders but came home after class and took some Valium I had left from surgery. I would not have been fine at almost 400lbs.... So NSV
I started this post 2 hours ago... and never finished Oh well, going to post it anyway....
