Good morning all. My follow up went really well yesterday. I told my dr about my hunger and also about the fact I was concerned about how much I could eat at one time (i.e., a whole light and fit). He wasn't concerned. He said I wasn't as swollen as when I was first sleeved and he didn't think I would have problems with volume. He also agreed that I was hungry because my body has little excess fat to feed off of. He did say my pouch is significantly smaller than my sleeve and he wants me to eat small meals throughout the day because he wants my calories back to pre surgery levels as soon as possible. He said he can't release me for activity until I can get my calories up. He advanced my diet early to puréed foods and I had ricotta bake last night. I feel better. So good that I guess I'll work a part day today ?
KQOTD: I laugh all the time, but honestly can't remeber the last time I out of control laughed. It's been too long.
Here's the plan:
B: protein shake, skinny vanilla latte to have at work
L: ricotta bake
D: maybe refried beans with cheese and Greek yogurt
S: protein shake, light and fit and Popsicles
Totals:
Cal. 683; protein 81g; fat:14g carbs 51g
I don't know if our experiences will be similar, but the first 2 or 3 weeks post op were the hungriest I ever was. And then it was just gone. I have no idea why, but it was horrible. I think when you get to even more dense foods, you'll be great.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better and that you got answers to your questions yesterday. I was able to eat larger volumes after my revision also, and wondered about that too. Like your doctor said, there is less swelling and it makes a big difference.
At almost 5 months out I feel like I'm able to eat like I did with the sleeve.
Not having the constant GERD has been life changing. I'm so happy for you that your outcome has been just as wonderful.

Thank you so much! It's been pretty amazing, actually. I told my surgeon that I won't 100% believe my reflux is gone until I get onto solid foods (he agreed, actually), but I told him that the fact I could actually sleep without being propped up on 4 pillows was amazing. He truly is my hero and I'm grateful every day that he's in my life.
