We missed the rain yesterday, though we need it! Is very warm and humid here as well. I am a buyer at an Infant Formula company and our production guys are warm and getting extra breaks and Gatorade today.

QOTD - a couple of weeks ago we had a friend visit at camp, he could be a stand up comedian and the harder you laugh the more he ramps it up. He is non stop. He can get raunchy at times, but will usually tone it back depending on the crowd. Nothing like a good laugh around the campfire.

Time since surgery - 20 months

B - ( I mixed it up this morning - no protein bar) - 2 HB Eggs

MS - Dannon light and fit greek yogurt and Mr Cheese o's

Lunch - Chili

AS - Cheese stick

Pre workout snack - Protein Bar

Dinner - Crack Slaw

 

Exercise - 60 minutes coaching at a Hockey Clinic, 60 minutes playing Hockey in a league.

 

Calories -1116, protein - 99, carbs - 68, Fat - 48

A) I forgot about Mr. Cheese O's, so good. I think I'll go order some from Amazon right now!

Hi AnnyBananny - I make a similar version of this recipe ( Thanks Cappy)

 

Crack Slaw

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • salt and pepper

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • ½ head of cabbage, shredded

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon sriracha sauce (Asian hot sauce)

  • 1 (1 g) equal sweetner

  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh minced ginger or ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

     

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Remove from pan and set aside.

  3. Heat up sesame oil and sauté garlic, onions, and slaw in sesame oil until cabbage cooked to desired tenderness.

  4. Stir in the soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, Splenda, ginger and vinegar.

  5. Add back in hamburger. Mix well and serve!

  6. Serve with additional Sriracha sauce on the side for people who want to add spice.

I make something like this but mix up eggs to pour over it and then bake it in the oven. Love me some cabbage!

That sounds delish! I forgot to mention that I cheat and just buy a big bag of slaw mix at sams.....

They DOUBLED the price on them at Amazon. I'm so sad :(
