What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Okay, I'm coming out of Lurkville to be sociable. I read this thread every single day, but never contribute much. I gained several of you as Facebook friends yesterday, so I thought I'd better at least say "thank you". Thank you :)
QOTD: The last time I laughed really hard.... Hmmm... I don't really remember, but it would be nice. I am going through some pretty emotional things right now, along with recovery. I'm one month post-op today. Down 28 pounds. I was shooting for 30, but it didn't happen. I gained 10 pounds of fluid while in the hospital, so I am counting that 10 pounds.
B: Strawberry Premier Protein Shake
L: Swiss cheese and Wildflower honey ham
D: No clue... Life is just too crazy for me to really plan ahead right now.
Thank you all for being there.
~Helen

Good morning everyone! It is forecasted to be a beautiful 80 degrees here in Portland. We are a low humidity part of the country, so that is generally not a factor. If it gets to 65% humidity, we all ***** about it like crazy.
I am very unhappy because I forgot my Fitbit at home. It is sitting in the charger attached to my laptop. Darn it! I am so attached to that thing, that if I am not wearing it, I don't think that any steps I take have any benefit. So weird.
QOTD: I love a good belly laugh, and have a great group of friends that makes me laugh like that often. Just over stupid, random stuff. Daisy, your husband's sense of humor sounds like it is right up my ally. Please tell me he is snarky, because that would be the cherry on top of the proverbial humor sundae!
I am posting another new outfit pic below. This is one that I bought on super sale at Talbot's. Small top and size 4 skirt. Woo Hoo! P.S. Why does my head look so huge in this picture?!
Time Since Surgery: 20 months
B: Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette
S: Ellenos Greek Yogurt, cherry plums
L: Chicken salad with sriracha dressing and parm cheese
S: Deli ham, cherries and grapes
D: Rib eye
Totals: Calories 978, Carbs 74, Protein 74
Edited: I am going to be brave like Maria and Karen and start adding my daily weight. My sweet spot is 140-145. Today I am at 142.2.
My carbs are too high. Darned delicious fresh fruit!
Have a great day everyone!

I HATE when I forget my Fitbit. I feel like having someone wheel me around for the rest of the day, since my steps aren't counted.

I am exactly the same way. I was thinking of taking a quick walk before my next meeting to clear my head and get some fresh air. My next thought was, why bother since none of the steps will count. Jeesh! I am happy to report that I did take the walk, but remained resentful that my steps were not counted by my FitBit.

I adore that outfit! Very classy!!
I don't have a fitbit... I wonder if I got one, if I'd want to walk more

Thanks for the compliment. I have always loved clothes, and now I am indulging myself because it is so easy to find great pieces. Who needs drugs when you can have a nicely fitted pencil skirt? I heartily recommend a FitBit. I know I get a lot more steps since wearing one. I am very competitive, even with myself. So it encourages me to meet my walking goals.

If something happened to my Fitbit, I would get another one immediately.
