Arrgh! Yo-yo-ing
I've been struggling with carb creep these past few weeks, and my weight loss has slowed significantly. I'm 'bethyanny' on MFP and would love more friends. Honesty about each bite and the weight/size of everything is vital to my success and my brain likes to fight me on it and I can justify a bite or two or 3 without much trouble. It's still a work in progress!

Tracking (including accurate weighing/measuring of all food) truly is the best way for most people to stay on track. There are some people here that are years out that don't feel the need to do so, but the truth is the majority of people (particularly those with weight problems) severely underestimate the amount of food they eat. It is worth the inconvenience that some people label it to be.

I agree completely.
For those farther out that don't need to closely log food, that's great. But I do. My eyes are still bigger than my stomach. Literally.
The inconvenience in weighing and logging food is entirely percieved. It takes a little time when first setting it up and adding new foods. But it takes maybe 2 minutes out of my day to track my food. Too little to even consider it an inconvenience.

You're spot on. I am always eating poorly when I'm not tracking and vice versa. It really is a key to success for a lot of people.
It always amazes me the people that claim they will do anything to lose weight but when you suggest weight/measuring/tracking, they instantly say it's too hard - when in reality is so much easier than 99% of things out there...

It's one of my pet peeves as well. So many people won't weigh/measure/track because they want to be "normal." What is normal? Being normal got me to 475 pounds.
I'll continue being abnormal.
