Calories/Nutrition at 5.5 weeks?
Hi! I'm a first time poster and had gastric bypass on 6/6/16. I'm sorry if my post topic is redundant, but I can't find the information I'm looking for. While I have lost 35 lbs to date, I just want to make sure that I'm not doing any long term damage to my body or RMR because I rarely eat. I average less than 400 calories a day. I just can't seem to find the time to fit in any food while trying to get in my 40-48 oz. of fluid a day. I do supplement with Jay Robb unflavored protein daily, but I struggle to meet my 60 oz. minimum. Am I eating too few calories? For example, today I had a 16 oz Jay Robb protein water concoction (26g), a cheese stick (6g) four hours later, a Jimmy Dean turkey sausage (5.5g) three hours later, and a cup of Fairlife fat free milk with Jay Robb protein (19g) in order to get to 59 grams of protein. In between "meals" I drank some water to take my millions of vitamins. I think I ended the day at about 40 oz. Also, a little off topic, but do I have to wait 15 minutes to take each pill? I have a total of 11 pills to take. A day! And it's all vitamins and such as I don't take any prescriptions. I feel like all I do is put something in my face every minute of every day and don't have time to do anything else. It's driving me insane!

your nutrition won't suffer because the body is breaking down your stored fat for nutrition. That is what causes weight loss. You seriously need to get your fluids up though.
re: pills - I haven't heard that you have to wait 15 minutes between pills. I take a handful before breakfast, and then a couple of pills at dinner. I eat two calcium chews during the day (in addition to the calcium I took at breakfast), and then I take iron before I go to bed. It really hasn't been a problem at all since I got into the swing of it
Hi catwoman7! That was the advice that I got from my nurse while I was in the hospital. I guess it was so that I wouldn't cause a blockage? As it is today, it takes me a total of 1.5 hours to take my first round of pills in the morning, hence why I can't seem to find the time to eat when I use all of my time drinking.
