If you are struggling so much with meats, try to wet them...with a dip. Oddly as it sounds, I dip meat (roast, steak, brisket, etc) in sour cream (I use the light Daisy).  It has minimal carbs/sugars, but moistens the meat, therefore making it easier to eat when they are dry. It works for me.  Meat is very hard to eat dry. 

Just a thought.

The thing that makes me stop and pause is that you said sometimes when you drink water it comes back up?  You are are the time in your healing where you could possibly have a stricture (scar tissue at one of the 'connections')  This happened to me, about the stage you were at in recovery, and it is very painful.  Check it out with your gastric bypass surgeon, wouldn't hurt to take a look with the scope (EGD) and they can stretch the stricture back out again with a balloon-type device during the EGD.  You won't feel a thing and when they did mine, I was under heavy sedation (basically out cold! lol).  Just something you might want to check out w/you surgeon.

 

As far as what everyone else thinks about what you are eating at the 'lookey looos' if you will, there is a two part answer.  The first is just human nature and curiousity.  People want to see what they can see/any difference in the way that you look.  The other part of the answer is that there is always going to be someone/something to talk about in every situation.  Again, human nature, to a degree.  The other is just gossip.  And to that I say "F" them let, em look, let em talk, what "f'ing" cares!!!!  Shine on my friend!

 

When I was "going through the sizes" on my way down, my best friend was thrift/consignment/second hand stores.  Awesome deals and the way I was going through clothes, I could get a lot of clothes on the cheap!  Nice, brand-name things too!  Check it out!
