What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning! You guys, I'm so tired this morning. This whole "not sleeping" thing is wearing me down. I don't want to take Zzzquil or some **** and the mouthpiece I have makes me feel like I'm choking. I need a new (better) nighttime ritual to wind down before I go to bed, I think. What's your pre-bed routine?
Again, my menu is a mess. I feel like I shop for my protein forward items, and then my husband and son eat them before I get a chance. It's not like I don't get them their own snacks, which remain untouched. *******s. LOL I need my own fridge or something.
QOTD! If you had to, could you perform CPR or the Heimlich? I think I could probably do the Heimlich, but I don't know CPR. I hope I'm never put in the position that someone needs my help but I'm not able to give it.

I am sitting here in my Wonder Woman tshirt and legging freezing my butt off waiting for blood work yo be done for my 2 year follow up. Only slept 3 hours last night, already had a visit from the appliance repair man and the motor is gone on my washing machine and they have to order and slso had s conference call already because I have to run a board meeting tonight. How's your day? Not feeling like Wonder Woman wondering how it's all going to happen today.

A) I love getting to the post early enough that there aren't 5,000 posts yet LOL. I feel so overwhelmed when that happens!
B) I used to be CPR certified, but haven't ever had to use it, thank goodness! I probably still could if need be. Also, if you call 911 they will walk you through what you're supposed to be doing as you wait for help to arrive - comforting? I don't know.
C) Hear you on the not sleeping well. All the sudden my sleeping has gotten horrendous. My doctor just recommended trying melatonin - if you have trouble getting to sleep she said to take it at dinner, if it's hard to stay asleep take it right before bed. I'm not sure it's doing much though, but might be worth a try.

I have been first aid/CPR trained for the last 20+ years but the only thing I've ever had to do was administer an epi pen to a kid with a bee sting. Phew!
I liked my timer setting for 6 small meals yesterday and I'm doing it again today. But I still haven't been grocery shopping, so it's not the best. Calories are higher than they should be but oh well...
I went for a lovely walk this morning on my way to work. I work right in the heart of the worst most dangerous neighborhoods in Boston, but you'd never know it from the gorgeous park that lies right in the middle of it. I love to walk there when I can :)
5am: protein coffee
8am: Greek yogurt with mint choc protein powder
11am: pepperoni and cheese
2pm: HB egg
5pm: cheese stick and 1/8 c almonds
8pm: 1/2 black bean burger and cheese
I picked my parents up from the airport last night and mom had a present for me--an adorable shirt from a Paris boutique! Sadly, though, a French small is not the same as an American small :( It fits, but I look extra fluffy in the middle. At least I have a goal to work towards, though!

Good Morning Everyone!
QOTD: I'm not trained in either CPR or Heimlich but I would definitely try both before I would let someone die!
Yesterday I ate: a protein drink, a Clif protein bar, steak & broccoli, Mr. Cheese O's, chicken breast, mashed potatoes & gravy and a Power protein bar.
Exercise: A friend and I walked at the mall since it's been so darned HOT outside. I also walked around a lot at Walmart since they rearranged it and I couldn't find anything.
Have a great day everyone!

You need to find food that your family won't touch.
And really, you're looking for suggestions on what to do at night to wind down and sleep better? Really?
QOTD: I've done CPR twice on my dad when he went out of the picture. It was'nt that difficult -- you rwally don't have time to think about it. I've never done the Heimlich. I think I could do it in an emergency, but I'd worry about breaking ribs.
