I had a great weekend! We had to trade in my little car - Chevy Sonic - because of ongoing problems since I hit a wild hog (I kid you not. Thing took out my radiator, and ever since I've had multiple radiator leaks, and our mechanic thought it might be a cracked block)...

So anyway, I ended up with a very pretty, well taken care of, 2012 Nissan Rogue. I love it. Completely and utterly loaded with all the bells and whistles - which I love, and low mileage, which I'll ruin being a Realtor! So, anyway... as we were in the finance department with a nice lady named Crystal, the subject of food came up (food is just everywhere!). She said something about 'resetting' and only having protein shakes and soft foods for a few days, and proceeded to say that she had had RNY 7 years ago! I told her that I had it 8 weeks ago, and she was so excited! She gave me a sample of her favorite protein powder (Nectar, vanilla flavored), and had a few tips (which I already knew about from all you fantastic people), and then told me about another lady working at the dealership. She took me out, found her, and had to introduce me to her! LOL We had a round of High Fives, and they told me I was on the best journey ever! -- all the while my sales guy was standing there looking a little confused as to why I had made friends so quickly with everyone HAHAHA... We are EVERYWHERE, and we should stand up and share, because you never know who you'll meet - and make their day!

QOTD: I am a make it on time by the seat of my pants, or late up to about 10 minutes - which I don't consider too late  I don't have to clock in at work, so that's a plus. Drives my spouse NUTS... I'm always looking at the clock thinking that I can make it, and he's out in the truck waiting for me. In my defense, if I'M driving, we usually make it on time... if he's driving we don't

B: Premier Protein Shake

L: Tuna packet with 2T of LF mayo

D: Not sure yet... kids are with their dad for the next two weeks, so cooking isn't as high on my list right now (momma gets a vacation too!)

Oh, I would have shipped him to you if I could have! (because I know you'd have BBQ'd him up to be really tasty! hahaha)

He lived... damned thing got up and ran away... he caused $5K of damage under the insurance, and then 3 months later the car started spewing radiator fluid from the engine, another $1,400 before we got rid of it...

I couldn't believe he lived!!

All you early people.  Hmmph.  I'm so chronically late that my family will tell me to be somewhere like an hour earlier than everyone else just so I'll be on time.  And even then it's iffy.  LOL

I have a friend who is more than chronically late. I mean the first time we were going to meet after work she was 2 hours. The ONLY reason I was still there waiting is that the guy I was seeing at the time was actually at the same restaurant and sat with me the whole time leaving Nast messages on the phone. For a long time if there were a few of us getting together we would place bets on what time she would get there, winner getting their drinks paid for by the losers.  We would always tell her to be there 30-45 minutes earlier than need be and she was still late. Last time I told her I was going to treat her like an adult and told her the correct time and she totally came through and was on time. We didn't know what to do with ourselves!!

Good morning! If you include Friday as part of the weekend, it was fabulous! Went to the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibit, met an old friend from college for lunch, and saw the Chihuly exhibit at the ROM. Saturday and Sunday were quiet in comparison, but I had lots of happy things to think about while I took care of weekend tasks. :)

QOTD: these days I'm usually exactly on time or a couple minutes late. I've been chronically 10-20 minutes late for most of my life, but have really been working hard over the past few years to be habitually on time or even a little early. Am inching closer to the goal, and no longer try to squeeze in that 'one extra little thing' before I leave home. The only exception is doctor appointments: if I'm 20 minutes early, I consistently seem to get in right away; if on time, there's often an hour's wait. Don't know why, but it works for me!

B: roast beef

L: ham and cherry tomatoes from the garden

D: chicken if I cook this afternoon, more ham if I don't

S: cherries, chicken nibblers

Cal: 895 (based on chicken, less if ham), protein-118

Good morning. It is a beautiful morning. I have the house to myself with the dogs. I used to not like it but I am learning to. I am learning there is a difference from being alone and lonely. Lonely you can be even with a room full of people.

I work from home on Mondays. Thank goodness. Question of the day. I am early. I get on everyone's nerves. I will lie and say something is earlier than it is so we are not late. Once we walked into a wedding after the bride did. I was not happy about that at all.

B:Protein smoothie with blueberries

S:Hard boiled egg

L:?

D:Burger with no bun

I am walking this morning. I am trying to carb detox today. I have not been as bad as I was. I need to get under control. I know since I stopped drinking I have made the excuse that it is okay to eat crap sometimes. Well the crap turned into daily. I know I have been doing this. I have talked with my sponsor about it. So it is being dealt with. One meal at a time.

Enjoy this beautiful day.

Good Morning!

I haven't been feeling great. For the last few weeks all of a sudden I get this intense wave of fatigue, I feel like it's a fight to keep my eyes open. Sometimes it only last for a little while, other times it was last for hours and hours. Went to see my PCP on Friday, and it seems all of my blood work came back normal. However, my B12 is 940 which is considered "high" and she didn't do an iron level - only ferritin which came back at 161. Not sure what's going on. Hopefully it passes soon - I don't have time to be exhausted!

We had a pretty good weekend, nothing too exciting. Saturday we went grocery shopping, booked a "friend party" for the almost 7 year old at the bowling alley and got all of the invitations sent out, and picked up a few party supplies. We're also having a combined family party for him and the almost 2 year old, so we got those invitations as well. Yesterday we had a party to go to for a judge that is up for reelection. The food was so good, and pretty RNY friendly - shrimp, caprese salad, and cheeses. We also took the boys to see 'Finding Dory'. It was cute, I love Disney movies still :)

QOTD: it really depends on where I'm going if I'm late/early/on-time. If it's just me, no problem being on time. If I have both kids, it can vary...

Time Since Surgery: 16 months
