Hair extensions on surgery day

I am having gastric bypass tomorrow. I have hair extensions on. The person who's supposed to take them off when on vacation. Now I'm concerned because I don't know if it's ok to keep them for the surgery which is tomorrow. Is it okay to have hair extension while I'm having my gastric bypass?

Do they have any metal ?? If THEY do you must remove the electro cautery machine they use for cauterizing bleeders could cause burns . Very important ... But I'm not sure how extensions work

No there's no metal....they are just sew into my hair with thread.

I am 12 days post-op, and I had the same type of extensions on my surgery day. No problems whatsoever. None of the medical staff mentioned them at all (as if they could tell :-)). You will be fine! Good luck!
