I always have post vacation depression. It makes it a little easier if I just plan to have the blues for a few days and then try to get back to normal life. It still sucks though!

Yes totally. I do love where I live thank goodness. I can be at the beach in 15 minutes. I just love having my husbands full attention. We have been married for 26 years.

Good morning all of you Sunday menu posters! Glad you and Grimm are having such a great time in Maine, and torturing us with lobster pictures. About 5 years ago I took a road trip vacation with a friend.  We drove from Hartford, CT to Portland, ME. It was incredible. It was my goal to eat lobster at very meal, and I did.  So good. Well, almost as good as the Brahmin handbag outlet we stumbled across in Fairhaven, MA. I still dream about that place.

My Dad is being discharged from the rehab facility on Monday, so we have been in a mad scramble to find transition care because he is not ready to go home without 24 hour care.  We found a great assisted living facility, and he will need to be there for 2 months. Then my brother and I had to go speak with my Dad and convince him this was best for his long term safety. He really wanted to go home, but came around at the end. He is such a great guy, and this is so hard for him.  My heart just breaks.  Adulting is hard.

Tomorrow we move some of his furniture into the one bedroom facility room, and then transfer him over. Thank goodness I have 5 brothers to share the responsibility for this.  Between all of us sibs, and his day caregiver, he has plenty of support.

I saw Tarzan yesterday.  All I can say is, Alexander Skarsgard.  Yummy!

i am meeting friends in an hour for a long walk. We will probably do 10 miles.  Five miles, shopping and lunch, and then 5 miles back. That is my idea of exercise!

Oops.  Forgot the QOTD.  I am always cold!  Last night I was at a friend's house and we were sitting on the patio. The had the fire pit going and heat lamps.  Everyone was sweating, and I was freezing.  It is July 10th, and I have the heat on right now.

QOTD: I am definitely colder and it started like 3 months after surgery when I still had a lot of padding. That being said, it has gotten better and I think it might be vitamin related too but I can't tell you which vitamin. I have to say I feel so much better since I'm on the patch vitamins- maybe I am just absorbing them better, not like I wasn't taking vitamins before...

yesterday I was stress eating, whoa! Have a decision to make....Did not succumb to sweets- more in the popcorn and extra sweet protein choices (shake and bar)....and still ate I think everything I said I was eating. The out of control feeling is in my mind. Ended up leaving the house to go do some returns just to get out of here ... oh and had almonds and jerky while I was out. A lot of nibbling going on... So this morning? Down one pound - 171.6. Whatsss up scale? I guess I feel like I should be 'punished' for bad behavior....

Took a 2.2mile walk around my neighborhood with my neighbor already

B1: Coffee latte with Miralax

B2: cottage cheese with chopped pecans, flaxseed and blueberries

S1: Kirkland Protein Bar

S2: Premier protein (if needed -while at church, Sunday timing is weird with Church)

L: Chicken salad, shredded carrots, low carb wrap

D: Steak, sauteed mushrooms and onions
