Happy Friday!
Such a short 2 day week for me! Only one meeting today so I'm hoping to catch up today.
QOTD: A couple things I can think of, I used to be an opera singer. I have a degree in voice and I used to sing with the Atlanta symphony.I love finding bargains and would love to have a job where I shop for people. I can fit my entire fist in my mouth, I'm not sure that is a talent but kind of gross. I make jewelry and cards and I'm always looking to get better at it.
I made melissa's nooatmeal today for breakfast, it was actually yummy. I used 1 tbl hulled hemp, 1 tbl chia, 1/2 cup milk, 2 squirts SF engligh toffee syrup, and snuck in a small amount of cacao nibs for crunch I had laying around that needed to be used. Came up to 125 calories, 11 protein, and 8 carbs which 5 are fiber.
going to stand up paddleboard yoga tomm- first time for it. It should be awesomely fun. Other than that- no plans.
Here is my question:
Do you have food in your pantry that your family won't eat, and it is bugging the crap out of you because you don't want to throw it away but can't really eat it? I have a box and a half of kind bars (the ones with nuts and chocolate) that are 200 calories for a bar. I suppose I could eat 1/2 sporadically until they are gone, but they don't have enough protein and I feel like I would be 'wasting' my calories for something that isn't the best choice? Anyone else go through this? Maybe I should donate them. I just don't like wasting food.
Here is what I ate yesterday for accountability:
B: Kays' cinn cookie bites/carbmaster milk/decaf
L: grilled chicken breast/squast/onion/dill pickle
D: kroger chicekn sausage feta link/zuchinni/squash
S: grilled chicken breast/carbmaster yogurt/ carbmaster yogurt /reddi whip
calories 746
protein 99
carb 39
I always have a well stocked pantry- just my nature-buy the things I use when I see them on sale. I periodically take some grocery bags, fill them and bring them to a food Pantry. They accept it all. A friend saw me doing it one time and asked me "Don't you like that food?" Of course I do, I bought it...but when my pantry overfloweth I can bless someone else.
Also Peanut Butter and Jelly is always valued at the food Pantry.
