I have to say my heart is heavy this morning with all the sadness and loss of lives going on. I must be getting old as I just don't understand this world anymore 
On a lighter note, nothing planned this weekend but the kids took me to a place I call heaven to help me celebrate my birthday a couple of weekends ago and to heal my heart. Nothing reminds you of your blessings more than time with your loved ones and this view!

It has been a rough go. So much death. Too much. Orlando Pulse about did me in. Now with the police shootings of black men and the horrible shootings in Dallas of so many officers... it just feels a bit much. Thinking of you and us all.

QOTD: Special skill? Not sure I have one, although I (and most of my family) can touch my nose with my tongue. I am good with power tools and like building things. Right now I am making an upholstered ottoman (basically a wooden box covered with fabric with a hinged lid and wheels). I will post pictures next week when I am done.
I got my new Withings scale this week. I love it. It measures weight, bodyfat %, water %, heart rate, and pulse wave velocity (how healthy your arteries are). My measurements are all good.
My picture is from bowling yesterday. Our society worries me so much. How anyone judges anyone else simply by the color of their skin or sexual orientation makes me so sad. My boyfriend is black, my kids are Asian, my niece and nephew are Hispanic, and my older daughter thinks she may be gay. I love them all unconditionally because they are the best people I know. Period. I am sad our society treats people differently based on things that do not matter.

I don't see colour/creed/religion/or sexuality, I just see people with a heart & soul just like me!!! I am in an interracial marriage, most of my circle of extended family & friends are non whites, my best male friend is Trinidadian, he set me & my hubby up, and some of my best friends are gay as well, I JUST DON'T GET WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD!!
I am keeping myself away from the news media, I just can't take what is going on. It makes my heart hurt like its never going to stop hurting.

p.s I LOVE bowling!!! I suck at it but I love it and will never turn down an offer to play LOL My hubby has family in Texas, we might be going for Xmas 2017, we will have to get together for a night of bowling! LOL
