What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
OMG, I love your sock. I tried to knit socks and it came out looking like I had a club foot. Just didn't get all the twist and turns. Try to not go to the scale so much.... use your clothes and logging. If you know you are eating right you are good, if not, shake it off girl YOU CAN DO IT!

Good morning everyone,
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I'm expecting a lot of special treatment, lol. I asked for a gift certificate to my favorite store, so I hope to be shopping tomorrow. My daughter wants to make my favorite meal, whi*****ludes a lot of bacon, cheese, and sadly pasta. I've tried alternatives to the pasta in this meal and they just don't do it. So...I think I'll have a bite or two and then have a steak. Those are my big plans for the weekend.
Qotd: the only special skill I think I have has to do with reading. I can speed read. I can scan the page of a book in about ten seconds and know what it says. I also do a lot of reading out loud to my kids and my students. I have this weird ability to read a whole chapter out loud, with expression, while my mind is doing something else like planning my grocery list. Weird, huh?
Here's my photo for today. This is our third pet enjoying his morning lettuce. His name is Desperaux, but he also goes by Scooby and Bugsy (his predecessors).
Here is my food:
B coffee with cream, protein shake
L turkey cheese rollups
D buffalo chicken salad
S pure protein bar, plum
Calories 799 Carbs 41 Protein 87

You know, I don't want to bring you down, but my 16 year old just got back from Ecuador a few weeks ago. Apparently, guinea pigs are delicacies there and are eaten at special occasions. He tried some, as meat on a stick. Thank goodness that is not a delicacy here in the US. He looks too cute to want to eat.
Oh Deanna, that hurts, lol. I know they're considered a delicacy in parts of South America. My daughter's friend went to Peru a year ago and in the town he visited they had a yearly celebration where they dressed up the Guinea pigs in dresses, raced them through town and then ate them. My husband always threatens to do that to Bugsy.

QOTD: So, ok, I can tie a cherry stem in my mouth. This used to get me a lot of free drinks, and propositions for a night of fun when I was younger And who taught me to do this??? My father when I was a little girl!!! Thanks, dad! I'm also a talker... my grandfather nicknamed me his little gypsy because I would walk down the street and talk to any and everyone. To this day, I end up having conversations with so many random people!
My pouch is really persnickety. I'm almost 8 weeks out, and 2 days ago I ate some grilled zucchini from the garden, along with fish. The fish has always gone down easily, so I don't think it was the culprit. All I know is that I did all liquids yesterday, and even this morning my pouch isn't feeling 'right'. I'm probably overthinking it, but now I'm worrying that I have scar tissue or something closing off my opening... Perhaps I should have added paranoid to my special skills!
Suffice to say, I don't see anything solid on my menu for the day...

This weekend we are going to a birthday party tonight, and I'm doing some real estate stuff Saturday and Sunday. Oh how I wish I could quit the full time job and get the real estate going full time! I truly love it!
I need to work on this uploading pictures thing... I can't get it to work!
