should I be concerned

Hello all, I wanted to get your feedback before I run back to my doctor. I tend to worry when sometimes its not necessary. I was 1 month out from surgery yesterday and I was involved in a car accident. I was shaken up pretty good but didn't take a direct impact to my surgical area. The seat belt was over part of the area though. I'm not in pain so much but I am sore in my stomach area. Which I'm sure some soreness is to be expected. Do I call my doctor and ask if I need to be seen?  things like leaks, damage to my surgery area are crossing through my mind. I'm having no other symptoms other than soreness.

I think you should just give him a call... if nothing else to ease your worries. Wrecks really jar you more than you realize, and he may give you some signs to look for just in case something is damaged.

Thank you so much. I went ahead and placed that call...like you said if anything it will give me peace of mind and I can really use that. I'm waiting on his response.
