I agree AV, someone needs to explain to me how a long weekend goes by in a flash and a 4 day work week moves at a snails pace?  Glad you are OK!

Been in the dumps for a few months (I can't believe Jim has been gone 6 months and his birthday is coming up) and knew the clothes were getting tight. Finally got on the scales and holy ****!  I will never get over how fast weight goes on and how slow it comes off   Finding the evenings are a challenge for me so I am going to do my exercise in the evening to take up that "I want to eat time" and after busting my butt I don't feel like undoing what I just did by eating.

Hang in there, Friday is coming!!!

I'm so sorry you are going through this Kathy. Climbing out of the dumps is a horribly hard thing to do.

I am so sorry for your loss Kathy.  I hope that you have a good support system of family & friends that you are able to turn to when needed.

Evenings are very hard for me too, I get very "snacky" and this was a lot of what I did pre surgery and it scares me that my brain has gone right back to it.  I find for me keeping busy (exercise, here on OH, doing my gardening, reading a book helps).  Also NYMom222 (Cynthia) recently said she asks herself if she is truly hungry and if she is willing to eat some dense protein and if the answer is yes then it must be hunger, if the answer is no and you want some empty carb like chips then really its not hunger right?  I am following that now with myself, I am asking if I really want protein. Last night I slept through my dinner as I was not feeling well and at around 930pm I felt 'hungry' so I got up and sliced four slices of turkey kielbasa and put them in a frying pan on the stove to get it crispy and ate that, it totally filled me up and was great protein.  

Good luck with the night eating I totally get where you are coming from.

Hi Everybody!  Coming at you from LOVELY Reno (sic) dealing with allergies and the heat.  My car has decided it wants to overheat periodically too, so that's fun.  Driving down the road with the heat blasting while it's 100 degrees outside, I'm going to have to take it in this weekend.  I really need to invest in a new car, but I love not having a car payment.  

QOTD: I'm terrible with stairs and steps, like - the biggest klutz ever.  Take me to the movies in the dark, I can guarantee you I will take a nice spill, even going upstairs.  Escalators too, I have no foot coordination, at all. Public speaking is my other arch nemesis, it's forefront on my mind because I have a big meeting I have to do this morning.  I promise, I'll say something ignorant, let a nice f-bomb or other four letter word slip, turn bright red.... I hate it.

JB, I sort of have the same struggle as you, I never want to eat at night either, and my protein numbers, I'll be honest, I rarely make them.  I'm paying dearly and losing my hair by the handfuls.  I'm convinced the last 50 pounds I've lost have all been hair.  My next appointment with my surgeon should be interesting, (August 16th), I'm pretty sure I'll have to have a wig by then.

OK girl get your protein numbers up! Drink a protein drink if you need to. Those premier proteins are 11oz... you can get 11ozs down!
