Hi all!  I love a 4 day work week, but don't they seem to drag?  Ugh, I honestly thought it was Friday for like 30 minutes after I woke up.  It was super disappointing to find out it is, in fact, NOT Friday.  LOL

I appreciate all the vibes yesterday; I ended up not going to the doctor because there turned out to be no point.  Confession:  I thought I might be pregnant, but it turns out I was only 16 days late.  LOL  I was like 80% relieved, and 20% sad.  I mean, logically I know I'm too damn old to having another baby, but still...  Plus, when I called my NP to tell her I wasn't coming in she was like "Well, you are 46.  It just might be the beginning of the end".  Well, OK then.  LMAO  So needless to say,  some (a lot) of grief bacon was eaten yesterday because this fat girl still eats her feelings.  So, new dawn, new day and all that jazz.

QOTD!  Tell me something that seems like it should be easy, but you can't do it.  I'll give you two:  I have never been able to figure out how to use an elliptical machine.  I can't get the rhythm right and I've tried many times.  LOL  I also am unable to open the gun safe, where we keep lots of things besides my husband's firearms.  It's just a regular combination lock, but I can't do it.  I've actually watched youtube videos to try and figure it out with no luck.

Time since surgery:  23+ months

B:  Diet Pepsi (shut up, I don't have any coffee), slice of honey whole grain toast, HB egg and 1/4 c. of corned beef hash

S:  8 cherries and 1 oz. of goat cheese

L:  1 chicken tender, 1 mozzarella stick and a jalapeno popper.  Again, shut up.  Leftovers from my evening of not giving a ****

D:  garlic sautéed shrimp and zoodles

TOTALS:  Cals:  892  Protein:  70 (blergh)  Carbs:  58  Fat:  38

Have a great day all!

Oh man, I am sorry you had to go through all that emotional crap that  goes along with late periods! ugh  My periods have always been exactly 28 days, even when we lost a baby, exactly 28 days later I started.  Yet since I hit the 150's with my weight my cycle has been CRAZY!!  34 days one month, 33 the next...and why YES I did take a pregnancy test..even though my husband had a vasectomy! LOL

QOTD: Combination locks are my arch enemy!!  ugh I could never figure them out in school, and still cant.  I am sure there are like a million other things I cant do that are easy, but I cant think of anything right now.

Good morning, AV. Sending lots of good thoughts your way today.

Not to gloat, but today is my Friday! 3 day week (actually more like 2.5 since I left early Tuesady for a doctors appointment!). Grim and I are heading to Coastal Maine for the weekend :) 7 more hours til I'm outta here!

Ok, help me out with dinner, guys. I'm struggling lately... I always plan for 5 small meals, but I honestly usually eat just the first 3 of them (and if I have my afternoon snack, I usually eat it early because I always feel hungrier in the morning). I am skipping dinner most of the time, now.

I just am not hungry after 4pm...which is wreaking havoc on my protein numbers. Then, right before bed I start feeling panicky that I haven't eaten, so I usually grab a handful of nuts or something. I never make terrible choices, but definitely not on plan. Any tricks on how to balance my day a little better so that 90% of my calories are not being consumed between 5am - 12pm?

S: Cheese Stick

L: Chicken Caesar Wrap

QOTD: The list of stuff that befuddles me is too long to list, but here are some highlights: I totally can't use can openers. Or read maps. Or use umbrellas without getting wetter than I would without one. I'm a mess...!

I seriously have no ideas for you, I have NEVER been someone who has to worry about not eating....well maybe right after surgery, but that was it.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm never hungry--it's 9am and I could eat a horse right now! I just seem to stuff myself in the morning and early afternoon then...nothing. Weird, right?

I am struggling with timing as well... For the past almost 2 years since I had surgery, I just did fluids in the morning- coffee, tea, protein drink and didn't eat my first meal until lunch... now I am struggling at night too with that one extra thing late at night....

Oh and have fun in Maine!

Night time is the worst for me.  I know I'm not really hungry, just head-hungry, but I give in and usually make good choices, but occasionally not so good either.

Jealous!  I've never been to Maine; it looks so beautiful there.  As for meal planning, I usually don't eat my breakfast until like 10am, so I can't help with the early morning hunger.  Maybe see if you can wait a little longer to eat your first meal?

OMG, maps!  LOL  I'm terrible at it.  You know that episode of Friends when they go to London and Joey has to get "in the map" to be able to read it?  LMAO, that's me!

The only thing I can think of is what AV said. Delaying your first meal, cause eating seems to beget hunger for me. Your style might not actually be that bad IF you can get your protein in. Have you looked into intermittent fasting? I do best when I only eat between 11:00 and 7:00. Maybe you can make it work on your schedule.
