A little late on my two week update!
Well its been two weeks and two days, and I feel a little better. Haven't been able to start my vitamins yet though. They are expensive... but I did get my B12 injection and I am supposed to take it but they never told me how many mls to inject, so I have to call them tomorrow.
I have been struggling protein wise. I just want to drin**** cold water. Well I WANT to eat everything I see, but I don't, lol. I couldn't anyway. But I'm trying. That may be why the scale went from 258, back to 261 and stayed until yesterday. It was 258 and today it is 260. I am confused, but it may be because I am not having regular bowel movements. (But I barely can eat anything, so maybe that's why no bowel movements. IDK.) I'm patient. I know it will happen. I'm doing what I am supposed to. Except the protein shakes. BLAH. I hate them. I got Premier protein RTD shakes because that is better than nothing. I know I don't absorb it all.
Now I can drink a lot more water at a time. Idk if that's bad. :/ But as far as food, three to four bites, sometimes five to six if I pace myself longer, is all I can eat. Unless it's pureed then I can eat more like half a cup or a little over.
My incisions look okay and I am itching EVERYWHERE. I heard that was normal though.
I am so tired.
I think I have some gas trapped in my colon. I have pain near or under my rib cage every time I lay on my left side. It's sharp and bothersome. So I avoid that side. I'm going to mention it to my surgeon on my next appointment just in case its something more serious.

I couldn't sleep on my left side for 3 weeks. I've read that that's where they do the most work, so I think it's normal... Of course mentioning it to your doc is never a bad idea.
it all does get better! Work on the protein... It's really important and will give you more energy.

I have found exercise to be the key to breaking my weight loss plateaus. I very rarely see the scale move downward if I did not exercise the day before. Are you doing plenty of walking? At this point, that's the only exercise you can do, but it definitely works! And it helps with energy, as well! You're doing great! Keep up the good work!

I get my vitamins at CVS or Walgreens when they are on sale. You do not have to take expensive bariatric vitamins. The CVS chewable senior vitamins are only around $9 for a bottle which is a month's supply. I get them when they are BOGO free so that is basically $4.50/month.
Bariatric Advantage has a program that gives free vitamins to patients who need financial assistance. I think it is a 3 month supply.
You need vitamins. Get them somewhere.
