on 7/6/16 7:12 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Morning gang! How is everyone's day so far? AV sending lots of positive mojo your way for a good appt with the doctor!! Keep us posted okay!
QOTD: we do not have a lot of seagulls, I might see 3-5 a year and that's a maybe. But Canadian Geese are another story, we have a bazillion Geese. And those suckers are pretty big and pretty fearless. My dogs love to chase them, some of them fight back, mostly they fly away.
Today is Iron Infusion Day!! YAY My treatment is a series of 3 infusions = 1 treatment. I am doing one now as we speak (see pic below) and then I go back for part 2 July 20 and part 3 Aug 3. Nurse told me I should start to feel a difference in a few days, and by the end of part 3 will feel a lot better. So far I started this at 830am (its 10am as I write this) and I have a half a bag of iron left to go. Tolerating it well so far. Only thing that hurts is the damn needle site, big ass needle in a small ass vein = OUCH!!! Nurse told me I may or may not need another infusion, so will know in a month or so when I get new blood work done after part 3 to see where my Ferritin has got to. And because I am sitting in the treatment room on my work laptop I had to snap a pic of these really cute flats I just got at Payless on the weekend, $12!! Score!!!

I have giant canoe feet, too! I kind of hoped that I'd drop a size with the weight loss, but alas, it was not to be. They are thinner, though, so there's that.
Me too..no size change. .... but thinner, so it is still easier to get shoes.

Make sure they also check your copper when they test your iron / ferritin.
My first treatment- 4 infusions - raised my ferritin nicely - but that also dropped very fast and I needed another one a year later.. .
