Good morning. I was finally released from the hospital yesterday around noon. Given that my weekend consisted of walking ans sipping, it was pretty uneventful.

KQOTD - I feel like I'm living this question. The discharge nurse wasn't sure if my surgeon allows showering while the drain is in or if I have to settle for a wipe down until that sucker gets pulled (which sadly won't be for a few days as I'm still putting out a crap ton of fluid (that is the actual

measurement off the side of the container). Anyway, I'd much rather shower everyday and wear the same ratty clothes. I hate the feeling of being dirty and having unwashed hair since Friday morning is driving me nuts. Can't wait until my surgeon's office opens so I can ask about the shower.

food?  Why bother:  broth, protein shake, Popsicle, sugar free Italian ice. Yummmmm (4 more days of clear liquid but who's counting??)

Aw, hang in there! The drain was the worst part of recovery. Keep sipping and walking!
