What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Saturday and a much needed 3 day weekend! Your weekend sounds awesome JB! Hubby enjoyed the seafood buffet at the casino last night to ring in his bday month, I did well with pot roast, turkey breast and some beans topped with cheese and sour cream. We walked out 3.00 above where we started (penny slots) of what we took to gamble with.
I want them to bring back the old school esprit cotton book bags!
STACY UPDATE: I heard from her and her revision went well yesterday. She is sipping and walking this morning.
Menu for today today: latte, banana protein shake with Chocolate PB2 and ice blended for breakfast, not sure on lunch but if we are home albacore tuna on top of a bed of lettuce with a boiled egg and cheese and baby carrots, dinner will prob be grilled chicken breast and cottage cheese, snacks will be an iced latte, pork rinds, Greek yogurt and jerky. 6 miles done and water/vits started.
Have a great day all, have fun and be safe!

Morning everyone! Three day weekends rock! I am feeling a lot better than yesterday. I think honestly it was the weather and too much coffee. We had two separate thunderstorms roll through yesterday so that I think caused the brutal headache and I have slowed down on my coffee intake so maybe that helped? Anyways feeling much better today. Oddly I am down 3 lbs, I think not eating much on Thursday and hardly anything yesterday resulted in down 3 lbs, bu****ch me go back up today 3 lbs. This whole WLS this so weird sometimes!
JB Your weekend plans sound great! Fun and no pressure weekends are exactly what you need!! Enjoy your down time!!
Hubby and I took the dogs to the park across from us last night and watched the fireworks and hubby brought his fancy Nikon camera on the tripod and took a ton of pics of the fireworks while I sat on a blanket with the dogs watching the show. It was a ton of fun, we are blessed our dogs are not afraid of fireworks at all but I froze my ass off, it was so cold last night and then I got that "cold" feeling that I could not shake and went to bed with 22 layers on, go figure, freezing my butt off on July 1st, pre WLS I would have loved these cold evenings!! Man oh man how times change!
QOTD: I loved the whole "flare" pant leg, I always thought it made a pair of dress slacks look so nice. Everything nowadays is Skinny Jeans this, and skinny leg that, its okay now that we are all slim and can wear a "skinny" pant but man when you are MO there is no way in hell "skinny jeans" are working!!
B: four shrimp with ****tail sauce
L: we are going to Ikea, I think I can find something "meaty" there, like Swedish meatballs
D: bbq salmon with balsamic dressing
S: 4 shrimp with ****tail sauce, maybe a 100 calorie Smart Pop Popcorn while watching movies tonight
Vits are done, one coffee down, water and Tevanna "Peach Tranquility" tea all day - I am obsessed with this tea!!!
Have an awesome Saturday everyone!

Love your avitar picture JB. Glad you're spending it with your guy. I just got told we are going to a picnic today. Didn't know about it. I live at the shore so it is mobbed on the weekend. The stores are packed and traffic is always horrible. But I do love summer.
For question of the day. I will say that I really like boho and I like the vintage looks. I depends on my mood.
B:Coffee/ eggs with sausage and some strawberries more like brunch
L:Hot dog I know not the best choice but I like them in the summer.
D:Burger
S:Shrimp/cheese/
I did walk this morning so I feel pretty good. I woke up tired. I should have stayed in bed longer. I get scared when I stay in bed too long. It was a habit I hated about myself before WLS. I would stay in bed till 12 some days. I will sleep till nine and that is okay for me.
Have a happy and safe weekend.
Plans this weekend include repairing the kids' shower in their bathroom. I thought it was just the showerhead needing replaced. Nope, it's the entire thing, pipes and all. Hubby has had to remove sheetrock in my daughter's room to get to the problem, and the sheetrock in her room will now need to be replaced. The whole thing snowballed...as things of that nature tend to do. He's grumpy about it because he wanted to work on his garage. He hadn't been able to work on it for almost 3 months. First world problems, am I right?
We don't bbq, we don't do fireworks...we're weird. I've never seen the appeal of shooting off our own fireworks, all it does is scare our animals and is just one more thing to clean up after. I don't enjoy watching fireworks with crowds because, well...people. I love our country, am super happy I'm lucky enough to have been born and live here, we just don't celebrate Independence Day outwardly. I often feel like we're the only ones who don't...lol.
QOTD: I really can't think of a fad I wish would come back, fashion or otherwise.
Menu for today:
B: coffee and trimmings, and a protein shake. I rarely drink them anymore, but was not feeling solid food this morning.
L: maybe lunchmeat/cheese roll-ups, almonds
D: Chicken fajitas, shredded cheddar, sour cream, sans tortilla
If I can stick to this, I'll end up with 935 cals, 76 gr. protein, 33 gr carbs, 52 gr. fat, 10 gr sugar..Yesterday, my sugar grams were 18.
Yesterday was a 1600 calorie day. Eek! I had 119 gr protein, 69 gr carbs, and 101 ( LOL, way oops ) gr fat. Now, granted....pre-RNY, those would have been my stats for one meal, not the whole day ( except I'm sure protein would have been lower, carbs higher ), but I know better. No excuses. Yesterday was a sucky day calorie wise. I didn't have any crap food-besides an unscheduled protein bar...haha, but I DID have toooo much of the good stuff. I'm NOT very active, I don't exercise and don't even go walking anymore, so I try to keep my calories fairly low. I totally blew it yesterday.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...
