What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?

3 day weekend! 3 day weekend! Yes! I hope you all have fun plans! I don't have much going on...a local fair, a baseball game, some fireworks... all fun, and a no-pressure weekend with my favorite guy. Yay!
I was walking around Target last night (my happy place) and now that I am shopping in the girl's section for clothes (no really) I am more aware of the fashion trends. It seems like there was a lot of boho-chic going on. It was cute, but since I am a child of the 80s I will always prefer florescents and scrunchies. I totally rocked that Madonna look, people! Do you have a fad from your childhood that you wish would come back? I also wish those silver highlighter pens would come back. Remember those? Ahh.
I am not 100% on the menu plans but here is what I know so far:
B: Fit Frappe Mocha with decaf
S: nuts and cheese
...the rest is up in the air. But I will bring along a protein bar and Mr. Cheese Os, in case there aren't protein forward options at the fair. Tonight...meat?

Morning JB and crew!
We're on our way to Boston should arrive around noon. I'm proud of myself. I packed a lunch bag with protein friendly eats for the road. Family stopped at Burger King- I ate from my packed meals.
hmmm... I've always been fashion independent and never bought in any fads. I can't think of any looks I wish would come back. I did love those jellies sandals!

Jellies were awesome! I had a pair of fluorescent orange ones with silver sparkles. Love!

Good Morning Everyone!
I am going out to lunch with a friend today. I hope I can find something on the menu to eat. Then this evening we are going to another friend's church for a pot luck dinner and fireworks. Then on the 4th we are getting together with the family for another pot luck and more fireworks!
I can't think of any fad I would like to see come back.
What I ate yesterday was: a protein shake, a Clif protein bar, a Lean Cuisine meal, sugar-free pudding, Mr. Cheese O's and a Power protein bar.
Have a great day everyone and a safe time with fireworks!

I've got my bathing suit on already, going to the beach for awhile...and hoping my pool heater get installed. I am way behind on my swimming.
The one fad I hope never comes back is stirrup pants- ugh. A tall girl's nightmare. Love me some leggings but stirrups? No.
I keep saying I am trying to find my 'happy place' in maintenance .... reality is I think I am there, but if I am not at the low end of the happy place, I am not happy. Kapesh? We always say they operate on our stomachs not our brains...but ....Why can't they operate on our brains when we have WLS? It would make life easier. LOL.
I already threw down a handful of nuts, which makes me mad.
B: Nuts, Coffee protein drink- TBD
S: hard boiled eggs
L; Roast turkey, avocado, cheese, carrots
S: Protein bar
D: Roast chicken, veggie
S: ???
Ex: 21-day-fix and hopefully swimming.

I cannot even imaging needing a heater in July!! Our pool is on the hot side now and we really need to install a chiller.
I hope you get your heater soon!!

Actually it gets used more in June/end of August/September...extends the season. But you gotta replace what's broken. Also like last night when we had a huge rainstorm, it brings the temp down dramatically. My sister lives in AZ and they have been known to buy blocks of ice to cool it down....

Stirrup pants sucked for the short girls, too. I wonder who those were made for?!
I feel you 100% on the maintenance stuff. I can't actually seem to maintain. I'm either gaining or losing but can't seem to stay in one happy place. And gaining never feels ok--even if it's just a pound, and within range.
