What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! I wish I could tell you someone from the 70's that I would want to see in concert, but I was born in 1978. Maybe the Eagles. They were from the 70's, right? Dunno.
I am happy for all you minions that have the weekend off, I signed up to work OT Saturday, Sunday and Monday=36 hours. I know. Tell me I'm crazy. But I'm ordering plane tickets for Hawaii today, and the next paycheck should cover a lot of our activities. Plus I'm off work all next week, so there's that. I am not committing to logging in next week, but I will try. My plans are to take the kids to Holiday World (local theme park) and to go canoing with the whole family one day.
Scale was down 1.6 pounds again this morning, it's a good week for losing I guess.
B- irish coffee with SF creamer & triple zero yogurt
L- Applebees bean and steak soup
D- scrambled hamburger with taco toppings (it's really going to happen tonight)
S- premier protein shake

**One question for those of you who grill shrimp on a skewer. Do you buy the raw shrimp or pre-cooked? I'm thinking raw because pre-cooked would probably get too rubbery but just want to make sure. I need to increase my protein and this seems like a smart way to do it.
Pic is me this morning. I haven't been able to wear this dress for some time, it was too tight through the bosom (not good that I've lost there) and too short. On a side note, I had to retire the dress I wore yesterday because it was just too big. A good problem to have! Also, my 12 year old tween daughter is teaching me about selfies. My arms are short and she said I was doing them all wrong. I will try harder Riley, I will try harder.

"I am basically food's creepy ex-girlfriend. I know we can't be together anymore but I just want to spend time hanging out" ~me, about why I love cooking so much post WLS
I use the raw for the grill and the pre-cooked for ****tail. I love shrimp because it thaws from frozen so fast. I got home from work last night, threw some raw shrimp in a bowl of warm water for like 5 minutes and then was able to skewer them.
I've been sprinkling with a bit of Old Bay seasoning and they are so delicious! My hubby and kids had chicken sausage (by the way, Miller brand Chicken sausage is DA BOMB, it's 100 calories and 10g of protein per link and they taste awesome on the grill).
