Got the youngest home from Atlanta last Saturday and then promptly went camping with him on Sunday. We were planning on coming home Tuesday afternoon but we're having so much fun we stayed another night. It was a new state park we hadn't been to and was beautiful. Campsite was on a hill overlooking a beautiful lake. Lily and I walked and walked in fact yesterday we did 9 miles at one shot. Started walking around the lake and walked father than planned. Then we got to an area where we couldn't get through and had to turn and come back the same way. Saw a 6 point buck, two does and even a spotted fawn. Post op 46 months and weight at 118 today. 3.2 miles in with Lily already. Here's the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L P3 pack D 31/2 oz grilled chicken 1/2 c green beans S protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Morning AV. It's the last day of the month and things are crazy here, so I have to make it quick. My kid is home from Ecuador, he had a great time and I'll be trying to download pics from my camera that he took with him tonight so I'll have something for Photo Friday tomorrow.
KQOTD: I'm a hostess at heart. I am hosting the BBQ on Monday. I honestly don't have a set thing that I would bring to someone elses BBQ, but when I'm hosting a BBQ I always make my fancy beans. That means opening some cans of Bush's Baked Beans and adding either sausage or beef to them, depending on who is attending. I have some family who are Muslim and do not eat pork, so when I know they are coming I go beef. This weekend we're doing Hamburgers, Dogs and Chicken Breast on the grill. I will do a few skewers of shrimp for myself.

Oh, I love me some baked beans. My Dad makes the most amazing "doctored up" beans with horseradish and onion and relish and a bunch of other stuff. LOL I may have to make some this weekend!
QOTD: I always make a flag cake for the 4th. I just make a cake in a 13 by 9 pan then top with cool whip and strawberries and blueberries. I used to make a sugar-free cake, but my family finally admitted they hate the sugar-free cakes!! lol Thankfully at almost 8 years out, I can eat a little cake without getting too sick.
I am keeping my eating in check this week. I am up a few pounds from where I want to be, but I am still at my goal weight, so it's all good.
My step-count has been great for me. I am averaging 20K a day.
6 weeks until I turn 50. I have been working hard to get even healthier.

My neighborhood has a lot of lakes with walking paths around them. It's around 11 miles for me (I have my fitbit adjusted for my stride length).

Good Morning RNY Family!
QOTD: Our family hasn't decided who is going to have the 4th of July celebration this year yet, so I hope we have one. I'd offer to have it at my house, but my little chihuahua isn't very child-friendly and my larger dog is afraid of strangers. I will probably bring potato salad.
Yesterday I ate: a protein drink, a Clif protein bar, meat & cheese sandwich, sugar-free pudding, Mr. Cheese O's and a Power protein bar. And NO CAKE! (Yes, it's still sitting on my counter taunting me. I wish my daughter would hurry up and finish eating it!)
Have a super day everyone!
