What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning all! When I woke my husband up this morning he asked what day it was. When I said, "It's Thursday", he said, "Are you sure?". Yes, sorry. LOL But, the 3 day weekend approacheth! Huzzah! I have no plans and it is glorious. I hope to catch up on laundry, housework and sleep, not necessarily in that order. I'm feeling all sorts of positive today, so I might even squeeze in some exercise. Say wha?! Who are you and what have you done with Kristen? LMAO
QOTD! Since the 4th of July weekend usually means a cookout, tell me your go-to cookout dish. Mains, sides, desserts, whatever. I don't host because I am lazy and hate having people at my house, but if you invite me to your house, I will attend. And I will bring my awesome potato salad. Which truth be told is just the recipe on the Hellman's jar with the special addition of some Italian dressing sprinkled on the taters while they are cooling. It's simple, but it's always a crowd pleaser. Share your cookout offerings! I'm on the lookout for an invite and I want to be prepared! LOLOL

Have a great sunshiny day!
Good morning everyone! My kid got his driver's permit yesterday, so I let him drive me around backroads last night, to the peril of both me and his kid brother. Actually he did pretty okay for his first time driving, just a little nerve wracking around those country curves.
QOTD: Before surgery, it would've been mac & cheese, I make a killer homemade mac. But now, I'm thinking like cheese and maybe antipasto kind of stuff. Or guac. I love me some homemade guac, just cannot eat chips with it now if I'm to avoid carbs. Dammit.
B- chicken diced, cojita cheese, salsa and greek yogurt
L- chopped turkey, salami, pepperoni, tomatoes, shredded mozz and light balsamic vinaigrette
D- I think probably ground beef, taco toppings, planning on having a pedi after work, so hubby will be the chef tonight
S- premier protein shake

Also: have to tell you all that this drink is fab. I am just drinking 1 a day plus my water, but it does break things up a bit. Zero sodium, zero cals, 5 carbs, zero sugars, and some vitamins as well. Check it out.

I buy that vitamin water for my son, he loves it! And congrats to your kid on his learner's permit! I can't wait until my son is old enough to drive so he can run errands for me. LOL
I tried this when I was on my road trip. I liked it fir a change of pace. I do water everything down a little though.

Morning AV. QOTD: I'm a pretty basic holiday BBQer. Burgers, dogs, chips for those that eat them. The classics. If I spent much time cooking something, it would have been a dessert. If I went nuts, it would have been a German chocolate cake.

Love Potato salad- sounds yummy... have seen all those recipes for cauliflower 'potato' salad... hmmm? I don't know. My easy offering is the giant tub of mango salas from Costc and a garbage bag size thing of Tortilla chips. Gotta love Costco. I love anything Greek flavored.... SO a greek salad, or at home love to make some lamb Shish kebob with Tzaziki sauce
Just had to shell out $2000 for a new pool heater...ugh. But that was a $1000 cheaper than the pool guy could get it for. Yeah Amazon! Says they will deliver on the 4th....means I have to stay home until it gets here. Yay! again? Swimming anyone?
