This is one thing I wish we weren't "twinning" about I would not wish this feeling on an enemy...
But on a positive note if you are going to have a #twinsie might as well go all out right and have everything in common !! LOL LOL

Me too on the iron. Still waiting for the Hemo doc to call me with an appointment. Which reminds me...I think I will call again and see what's up. Keep us posted on how you do.

Morning everyone! I hope you're having a great day! I, for one, am exhausted! I work a full time job, and do real estate on the side. Last night I had this really cute couple out looking at homes from 6-8:30... I didn't get home until 9pm. I had left the house a little before 7 that morning... yawn. Today I take a client after work to sign a contract, so another long day, and to boot, we're having a family reunion at our house starting Friday evening.... I'm not sure when I think I'll have time to clean my house with this schedule! Lord help me! Because I need it!
I had my 6 week check up yesteday. I'm cleared to try new foods, but honestly after yesterday's debacle with chicken at lunch, I'm in no hurry. My protein was down a little, 16.1. But other than that, I'm good. He did give me a years prescription to B12 shots, and if I can only find the time, I'll get that script filled today, and get that shot! Maybe it'll give me a boost for the weekend - and upcoming late nights of cleaning!
QOTD: New foods... Nada, none. I can't help right now with that. I have my eye on a few things, but honestly, my pouch is small and persnickety. I'm not in a hurry to test it too much.
B: Premier Protein shake (with my protein down, and inability to drink the shakes my doc wants me to drink, I've reverted back to my favs)
L: Hickory smoked Tuna pack and LF Mayo
S: Protein powder + flavored water
D: No clue... Maybe a deviled egg?
S: Another protein shake

Late to posting. I had an AA meeting this morning and I walked four miles. It feels so good to walk. I am also working from home and getting my house together.
B:Coffee and a bottle of water/ Quest cookie bar
L:Egg salad and half a banana
S:Cheese stick
D:Brisket ?
I have to say I really don't have any new recipes. I did buy one of the spiral veggie things. I do like it. I forget that I have it. I am trying to just eat basic at home. I have gone back to boiling eggs so I have them for the week. Having basic food. Not sure why. I think it makes things easier for when my husband is traveling. I can eat a hard boiled egg for dinner and not make dinner.
Anyways have a great rest of your day.
Hi everyone. I am posting late. Again. What is it with all of the meetings this week? I think everyone panics when there is an upcoming holiday, and thinks they need to get everything done NOW! Deep breath people.
The body temp control thing is really a beast. I am turning the heat on in the morning, and the air conditioning at night. Or huddle under a blanket with the air conditioning on. So weird!
Have I mentioned here that, as far as I'm concerned, the three most dreaded words in the English language are "Some Assembly Required?" I spent last night putting together a wine rack, and I have another one to do tonight. Ugh! When I moved from Seattle I was in executive housing for the first 6 months before I bought my house. So, I rented a wine storage locker for my wine collection. I had noble intentions of moving it to my basement, but I filled my basement up with junk, and never got around to clearing it out. Well, 8 years later I finally did that, and am now ready to move my collection. Hence, the wine racks. It made me crazy that I had around 400 bottles of wine in storage, and was buying it for gifts, dinner parties, etc. I will be glad to get it back in my house, but it is not as much fun since I don't drink it much after surgery. My friends will be happy.
Today I got word that I got an offer on my rental property. The housing market is insane right now in Portland, and I am tired of being a landlord. So perfect time to sell. I got an embarrassingly high offer for it. My liberal soul is saying that "high housing prices in Portland are putting the dream of ownership out of reach of so many, and now I am part of the problem." My greedy soul is saying "Yay!" Clearly, I am going with my greedy soul.
QOTD: Not much new on my food front. I do love the cauliflower rice, and have been using it mostly for fried "rice" dishes. It is delicious!
Time Since Surgery: 19 months
B: Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette
S: 2 oz. deli roast beef
L: Fried Cauliflower rice with pork loin
S: Cherries and turkey pepperoni stick
D: 4 oz rib eye
Totals: Calories 806, Carbs 34, Protein 76
Have a great hump day everyone!

Yay for you and your rental property offer! I think "greedy soul" might appear on my headstone. LOL
And I'm your friend, right? I like a nice semi-dry Riesling. Got any of those?
It will be on my headstone too. Even though I am going to take a heavy hit from capital gains taxes, I am going to use the proceeds to completely renovate my basement, and put a new family room, laundry room, bathroom and wine storage in. If I have enough room, I may add a bedroom. Fun, but I am scared to death about being able to pull it off.
And yes, I do have some nice semi-dry Rieslings in storage. Wine party at my house!
