Morning AV, I'm right there with you today. It was 55 degrees this morning when I left my house and I'm a *****illed. I'm having some hardcore stress over some looming deadlines here at work and it's making me completely shut down. Hubby got home yesterday, and my oldest is flying home from Ecuador tonight, so I'm excited to see him and have life get back to normal somewhat. Plus I'm excited because I asked him to pick me up some alpaca yarn from Ecuador while he was there. I hope he got me something good.
KQOTD: I'm not sure of a "new food" but I did change up my menu the other day and it was delightful! I had planned on having chicken, again, but then someone mentioned horseradish and I got inspired to make a sandwich of the Boarshead London Broil, sauteed onions and gooey gouda cheese with homemade horseradish mayo on 35 calorie bread made like a grilled cheese. Seriously, I thought I was in heaven and it was only 240 calories total for my dinner and I couldn't even finish the whole thing. I'll be adding this to my dinner menu often. hell, I might even do it here at work on the George Foreman Grill in the lunch room.
11 months since surgery (on the 4th)
B: 1 egg, 2 center cut bacon, cheese and coffee with cream and splenda
L: Tuna salad sandwich on 35 calorie bread with tomatoes and pickles
D: Chicken and cheese wrap with Bolthouse Farms ranch
S: Kroger Lite Greek Yogurt
Totals:
Calories 815 Protein 89 Carbs 57 Fat 33
I realized yesterday when I thought I was "dumping or having RH" the other day, I was just in the midst of a mild panic attack. I have some seriously ****** up **** going on at work and I am not dealing with it well. Time to make some tough choices and not just complain about it.
Holy crap, that London broil sandwich sounds amazing. I gotta get me a George Forman grill.
So happy for you that everyone will be home! Time for some family time with the long weekend coming up!! Hope work stuff gets better-today I need to get through some performance evaluations. I have been putting it off everyday because I have been stressed in general and don't like to write them when I am on the grumpy side :)
Hope your work situation feels better soon. Work can really stress a person out and we often discount that stress as not 'real' since it is 'just work.' But if you think about it we spend more awake hours with our co--workers than our kids usually. Be fearless!

I broke down and ordered a spiralizer last night on amazon for 12.99. I got the one with 4 different blades for different zoodle I guess. I would say for kitchen appliance I love my instant pot. I made pork carnitas last night and they were good. Next time though I will use pork roast instead of center pork loin. i think they need more fat- lol - food wise, I really like the chili lime burgers from trader joes. i think I will have one today. I would like one of those sous vid thingies though also. maybe i can eventually
as an experiment, I have eaten steak for breakfast the past 2 days instead of yogurt. it has really helped with my fullness for a longer period of time so i think it will continue. Also- I've noticed after I eat 1/2 quest or other bar- I'm still 'hungry' for something else. not sure what that is, but may just need meat instead or eat some veggies with my protein bar.
Here is what i ate yesterday:
B: steak/coffee/carbmaster milk
L: roast/green bean
D:carnitas/black bean/tomato/salsa
S: 1/2 quest choc/black forest yogurt/reddi whip/2 dill pickles/carbmaster yogurt/weigh****chers PB ice cream

776 cal
89 prot
41 carb
How is it that I've not been to Trader Joe's yet? It's like right down the road from my job.
