What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Halfway point! Woo! You guys, I'm feeling super weird this morning. I am dead tired and can't seem to regulate my body temperature. When I was putting on my makeup I was simultaneously sweating and had goose bumps on my arms. And since I've been at the office, I've probably put my sweater on and taken it off 10 times. I believe I'd like to go home and go back to bed. LOL Or maybe I just need to eat something...
I'm feeling super meh about my menu today, too. Nothing sounds remotely appealing. Except the coffee. Which may explain my cold sweats. Hmmm...
QOTD! Since I'm suffering from menu fatigue, share with the class your most recent favorite food find. It could be anything; a prepackaged something, new recipe, ingredient, etc. I'm late to the spiralizer party, but my recent discovery of zoodles sautéed with garlic and a little olive oil has been magnificent. LOL I haven't tried any other veg yet, but I think carrots would also be good. Love my spiralizer!
Time since surgery: 23+ months
B: coffee, slice of honey 7 grain toast with a schmear of cream cheese and a HB egg
S: L&F Key Lime yogurt with a graham cracker crumbled on top. I didn't have this yesterday (small pouch day) so I'm trying again today.
L: 2.5 oz. blackened turkey breast/string cheese rollups and a HB egg. Maybe. I don't know that I can eat this many eggs this many days in a row.
D: cheeseburger, no bun and cucumber tomato salad
TOTALS: Cals: 925 Protein: 74 Carbs: 53 Fat: 48
See? Meh.
Kristen, if you don't feel better after drinking some water and eating something you should probably be seen. At least check you blood pressure and blood sugar if you have a way to do that. Don't need AV getting sick on us!
QOTD: I was looking at the spiral cutters yesterday. I'm not really to the point where I can eat a lot of veggies, so I will probably hold off until I can, but the zoodles do look amazing! My current favorite I just discovered yesterday and is featured in my lunch menu today!
B- triple zero yogurt w/6 almonds
L- chopped salami, turkey, pepperoni, tomatoes w/ light balsamic vinaigrette and basil (my take on Caprese salad, but without the mozz)
S- premier protein shake
D- probably part of a hamburger at a community cookout, no bun of course
Totals: cals-733; protein-70; carbs-26; fat-37
**Have a great day ya'll!

Sorry you're under the weather AV. I once knew a woman that, for Shark Week, was "dispensing" quarters, dimes, and nickles. It turns out she was just going through the change.
I'm the wrong one to ask about menu discoveries. I can't even remember when I last introduced a new food. I had sausage and ribeye all day yesterday. Again.

Hi, Ugh it was a long day yesterday and I have another long day ahead. So ready for this 3 day weekend...how is it only Wednesday?
Kristen, I could not relate more to your post-RNY temperature regulation issue. I am cold all the time, but if it's humid I can be simultaneously cold and sweaty. It's gross and annoying and I hate it. I actually feel broken sometimes when I'm shivering in a cashmere turtleneck and others are sweating in shorts and a tee. I can't tell you how often Grim looks at me like I have 7 heads when he sees me wearing a hoodie sweatshirt or grabbing an extra blanket.
QOTD: I'm looking forward to reading your food finds. I'm boring. Unless you count ribeye as a food find...someone recently put me on the red meat train!
B: Unjury Chocolate shake with Fairlife Skim and PB2; probably going to get a decaf with milk later this morning, too...
S: Cheese Stick and Almonds
L: Bologna and Cheese Roll ups and a HB Egg
S: Greek Yogurt
D: ?? Not sure. I don't really have time, but I'll figure something out.
I haven't put in totals, but this looks like it's going to be way too many calories. Whoops. I think I'll probably have to go with it, but be way more on top of the totals, tomorrow.
