Concerned I'm eating/drinking too much
I'm 3 1/2 weeks post-op and concerned I may be eating too much. According to my plan I should eat up to 3 oz of puréed 3 times a day and a protein shake split up over 3 snacks. I measure everything and eat the 3 oz over about 20 min with no ill feelings. It only takes me about 30 min to drink a bottle of water. Reading other posts, it seems that others at my stage can only handle much less. Am I doing something wrong?

No. It sounds like your doing things right by measuring . Type in the search bar for not feeling full and you will find a lot of questions like yours with answers that explain that your nerves were cut during surgery and it takes time to heal before you get full sensations. Just trust the measurements . You are also on Puree so once you get to dense protein you may feel more satisfied . As far as drinking, I don't think you can drink too much, as long as your not gulping or chugging fluids are great. Just wait your full 30 min to 1 hour after eating so you don't wash the food down faster .

I'm six weeks out and from day one could tolerate liquid well. My plan said to take an hour to drink a shake. I could easily finish them in 10 minutes. My nut said that was fine. At my one month checkup she asked me how much liquid I'm getting in and I told her I can sip away at my 32 oz hospital cup full of water while reading the news every morning and easily drink it all. She said that was great!
It sounds like you're NOT having trouble and this is a good thing!
