Made it through surgery yesterday. All went well. Been walking several times.  Feeling queasy and can't seem to shake it. Nothing to drink yet.

Believe me, I am dying to drink. They haven't cleared me to drink yet. Hopefully the Dr will be here in the next hour or so.

Yikes ... They had me attempting to sip immediately post op. They kept bringing in medicine cups but I could not do it until the next day , then it was only about half ounce , they told me not to sweat it to much while on my iv, I did need to stay an extra night until I could start drinking ...

Ugh, I had to chew on this blue ice for the entire day, and the next morning... then they'd check my incision to make sure no blue dye was coming through before I was allowed water, or anything else to drink.

I was so happy when I could finally sip water! I hate chewing on ice!

Good for you for walking a lot! It really helps!

Great job walking . You feel so much better when you walk the gas out of you.  It gets easier.
