Wow....what a popular board. I've not been on this board for a very long time, but I need to be daily. I'll be 8 years out on July 8th and I'm maintaining but really need to lose some pounds. My DH is in rehab after having a stroke, blood clot in his leg and an embolism on his knee. He may come home this weekend, but it has been stressful for the past 3 weeks. I've made a few bad food choices.....McDonald's and Quik Trip ice cream cones.....haven't checked the nutritional values but I'm sure they aren't good for me. I love to cook but not just for me but I'm working on making myself cook up some healthy meals. I did shop at Sprouts and bought some fresh veggies and fruits.
Brownies....what's a brownie???? I have a SF version I want to make. I have been known to eat brownies since WLS and feel guilty with each bite. My favorite is a corner piece.
Today's eats:
Click/Syntrax chocolate truffle shake made with Fairlife milk
Avocado smash on toast
NuGo protein bar
Chef salad with chicken

My Monday has been not the most fab. I almost got smeared all over the road in my baby car by some butthole straddling the middle of a two lane road near my house. He was coming, fast, and not getting back over. I had nowhere to go other than the ditch on the side of the road. I laid on my horn, he still didn't correct himself, then he drifted completely INTO MY LANE, and then swerved back into his lane about 8 feet from my car. Oh I was so mad!! I really wanted to follow him and scream at him, but people around here carry guns. I got a few things I needed from the store. On the way home, I put the top down, turned UP my secret jams, and took the long way home. Lots of twisty, turny, fresh blacktop-- oh yeah! ( and I managed to stay on my side of the road! ) I felt MUCH better after that.
QOTD: Ohhhh, brownies were one of my weaknesses. Middles were my fave. I could whip up a batch of homemade in a matter of minutes. I do occasionally make a version with almond flour and sugar subs. They're not quite as ooey-gooey, but they'll do. I make a fairly kick ass WLS friendly ( as friendly as possible anyway...calories are insanely high )version of red velvet cheesecake brownies....and the middles are ALL MINE when I make them. Cook's treat!
Time since surgery: 3+ years
B: coffee with Splenda and half & half, scrambled egg, 2 slices of bacon. My daughter's cat was staring at me the entire time I was cooking the bacon. Not even my dog did that. I swear I thought the cat was going to launch herself at me.
L: Tuna pouch with a lil bit o' mayo, 2 babybel cheese rounds
S: Not sure...forgot to buy yogurt. :(
D: leftover lemon pepper chicken
Total without snack: 720 cals, 56 gr protein, 12 gr carbs, 48 gr fat. Need more protein. Boo.

Boo to ****ty drivers!! But I feel you on rocking out with the windows down to eliminate stress! Still, people drive like ******** for real. I can't remember where you live, but the drivers here in Syracuse are the worst I've ever seen. THE WORST. And I lived in NYC for a while!
Oh, and may I have the red velvet cheesecake brownie recipe?
I'm in South Carolina. The drivers here are pretty scary at times too. I think part of it is they're not used to other cars sharing the road....haha. Verrrrry out in the sticks. ( but only 15 miles to the bustling metropolis of Greenville, SC. )!
And you may absolutely get the recipe. I'll inbox it to you.
