What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Gang! I had a good weekend. I ran the Color Run 5k on Saturday morning and have to say that if it's not an officially timed race, I have a really hard time motivating to go fast. I went in with the intention of pushing myself, but when I pinned on my race bib and realized it wasn't chipped all motivation left me, lol. I did have fun, but I won't do it again. I'm in to running to see myself improve, the Color Run is like a big silly party. I do have the Color Vibe in August, which is similar, but I'm running it with my whole family so I won't be looking to a good time.
THEN I went out dancing on Saturday night. We went to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse and it was the first time I've ever sat at a Hibachi table. It was fun, I at reasonably well (I did have some caramel popcorn that the chef cooked at the table, it was delicious). Then the club, I had a BLAST, until around 12:30 when the alcohol caught up to me. I am so thankful that I had my hubby there to babysit because I can't even imagine going out partying like that by myself or even with friends. AND I was so hungover yesterday it was terrible. I don't think I've ever been so hung over in my life. I got dizzy while standing and I was chugging water to try to get that to stop. Good news is I'm feeling better today, and I told my hubby yesterday "Next time we're going out dancing, remind me how ****ty I feel today." Thank goodness I don't go out often, whew.
KQOTD: I'm a sides girl too. I love the crunchy edge, and I love the soft center, but really the sweet spot is the chewy band that runs between the two. MMMMMMM. But, no brownies for me. I dropped 2lbs in the last week and I want that to continue, so I'm trying to be very, very good today.
Here's my plan for the day:
nearly 11 months post op.
B: 1 Egg, 3 bacon and a slice of velveeta, coffee with cream and splenda
L: 3oz turkey, 1/2oz sharp cheddar, mayo and tomatoes on 1/2 a flat out light wrap
D: Smoked Chicken breast on romaine salad with cheddar, tomatoes and Bolthouse Farms Ranch Dressing
S: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with fresh berries
Totals:
calories 794 Protein 82 Carbs 35 fat 38
Have a great day everyone!
I made a video of myself after drinking a mixed drink, heavy on the alcohol. It was enlightening, educational, funny, and sad at the same time. That was some time in 2015. Haven't touched any hard stuff since, and really can't even handle wine anymore. Half a glass and I go all Ric Flair..Whooooo!!
We won't even talk about New Orleans in autumn 2014.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...
Tom Petty
Yeah, I don't even want to see a video of me like that. I do know that while I had a lot of fun, the hang over was totally not worth it. I do plan on going out dancing again at some point, but the next time I'll set a strict limit on my alcohol consumption. 2 drinks tops for the night should be fine. I had A LOT more than that the other night.
I drink wine a couple times a week, and was drinking more until recently when it started making me sick. I guess we live and we learn, and figuring out your limitations is very important. I am keeping my eyes open to not fall into the whole transfer addiction thing.
Now if I could cut back on my impulse shopping...
Oh I so did not want to get up for work today. Had a great weekend with family and friends. Husband and I went to see Riverdance Saturday and we always enjoy that and definitely enjoyed my kid free time.
QOTD: depends on my mood, sometimes I'm good with the gooey middles other times I want some the chewy crispy end.

Good morning. Had a quiet, uneventful weekend. Sat around with my foot up, reading and watching TV. I still work out to the best of my ability, I can't do anything aerobic, but can still do some, some crunches, pushups, etc. and weights, but I did do a little too much snacking.
B: 1 egg, 1 jones sausage patty
L: mixed greens, turkey, ham, cheese & viniagrette
D: Turkey burger (no bun), zucchine
S: Nuts & berries, premier protein shake
Good morning everyone,
I spent all day Saturday shopping for shorts and capris for my upcoming vacation. I hit four thrift stores and ended up with only three pairs of capris. Apparently I'm between a size 20 and 22 ( down from 24/26). I can't wait to be out of plus sizes since there are so many more choices in regular size clothing! On another note, I finally slept well last night. I've been struggling with some fierce insomnia lately and broke the pattern last night. I haven't felt that sleep deprived since having littles!
Qotd: Brownies. I so do not have any sweet tooth whatsoever right now so it's hard for me to think about brownies, lol. Before WLS, I liked the edge the middle and about half the pan, lol.
Yesterday I ate: a protein shake with PB2, half of a Chili's steak and asparagus for lunch and the other half for dinner. Then a T of peanut butter before bed. Here's my stats for yesterday:
Calories 814 Carbs 38 Protein 88
I can finally eat regular food since I'm six weeks out and yesterday it was so much easier to get my protein in!

Don't buy much in that size. The smaller you get, it will fewer pounds to get to smaller and smaller sizes, quickly. Once I hit a size 6, it now only takes about -4lbs to go down to a new size. I never really believed I'd get smaller, so I kept buying full wardrobes at each new size...major wallet regrets!
