Had to put my money where my mouth was last night...about getting stuff out of the house and not giving into temptation.... Had gone to a friends for a BBQ with another couple, we are all long time friends. I made my famous cheesecake--Sugar Free with Swerve sweetener so there would be something I could eat. We all partook but it got sent home with me because I brought it. I knew this was trouble. Ate another piece when I got home. Then decided I needed to dump it in the trash...and then I had to pour salt on it so I wouldn't be picking pieces out of there. It was so sad to throw out half a cheesecake, would have been sadder for me to have eaten it all in a few days.

This also happened this weekend...since most of you don't go on Sunday's post...Me, T is Hagalicious Brown and PeachPie

Think I am still recovering from my 4am arrival home from Chicago on Friday Am....and allergies kicking butt to boot.

QOTD: Brownies? I'll take any piece you give me, I was never picky ...but would have to go with edge -like you said best of both worlds...

B: Protein Shake TBD

S: Kirkland Bar

L: eggs, cheese, bacon

S: greek yogurt, blueberries

D: Grilled chicken, veggie(TBD)

S: PB on spoon

EX: 21-day-fix Was cleared for full exercise 2 weeks ago but then promptly left for Chicago. Going back to the 21-day-fix for now- my mainstay. Miss the weight lifting. Thinking I'll do teh dance video Cize at least 3x a week too to get more cardio in.

I'm sure dumping that cheesecake was hard. I usually bake for DH, bread puddings etc. Then if there is too much, take to the neighbors. Last one I took to 3 neighbors who ate it up.

My joy comes in the baking- not the eating from now on. And most times I'm ok with that.

Damn, good for you! I like the extra measure of adding salt. Smart lady.

I hate throwing away food, but I've done it recently too!  Great job making the right choices!

ouch.. I freeze my stuff.  Portion, wrap, label and freeze.  Even BF cake or cookies.   Take out only as much as needed for the week / weekend.

I hear you... I live alone, and if there had been one piece left or even two I would have saved it but I was feeling no self control.... better to be safe.

I hear you... I used to do that... but it is getting better with years post-op behind me..

One thing I still can't have in the house with me alone is bread... or polish chocolate /candies..

I manage to keep frozen bread ...that took a few years..

I am allergic to cheese - but I LOVE IT.. we keep it in the house and it's getting better and better for me not to eat it... I still have days...ugh..

Hi everyone! I spent Saturday travelling back from South Florida after a week visit with my dad. Kids had a good time, as we hit both coasts, got some fishing in, and even a little cycling... Sunday was spent relaxing and running a few errands.

Brownies... I like them OK, but I'm not a huge sweet eater anyway. I think I like the end pieces better though... that little bit of crunch is the bomb!

B: Bariatric Advantage Protein Shake

L: 2 oz chicken thigh, and a cheese stick (I doubt I can eat all of that just yet though)

S: Unflavored protein powder mixed into some flavored water

D: TBD But I may try my hand at these since we have several zucchini ready from our garden! Zucchini Rolls - Low Carb

I didn't weigh the whole time I was at my dads (only my scale is official at this point LOL), and was very pleased with a 5lb loss when we got back! I experimented with new foods while I was there - all pretty healthy - and did pretty good! I was happy with my choices overall.
