Insomnia
I never had sleeping problems before RNY but now they are rearing their ugly heads. I can fall asleep easily but I wake up early. Yesterday was 3 am and today was 5 am. I looked through older posts and see that this is a common problem post op. Does anyone know why? Any good ideas as to what to do about it?

BE NOT AFRAID JPII
You BS may be dropping... And when the body needs to bring it up - it releases cortisol - the wake up hormon.
Try eating something app 1 hour before bed - I.e a Tbs of nut butter, a few cheese sticks. A few nuts .. That worked very well for me... I still need to do that. That also helps to stabilize my BS first thing am.
Btw - protein shake or other slider foods did not work well for that.

I'm experiencing the same so I'm gonna try a peanut butter spoon at night
