What's on Your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
on 6/25/16 6:45 am
Whoops meant to write sugar free not fat free. I mix that into shakes sometimes too. My all time favorite shake recipe has a chocolate protein powder base, cheesecake pudding mix and Cherry Torrani sugar free syrup!

I'm the same way Sheri. Sometimes I can eat 1/2 a banana and sometimes not. Can't imagine what cake or cookies would do. That's fine we me though because the sweets were the biggest contributor to the 273 pound person I was before surgery. So it's a good way to stay focused! Baked goodies still smell too amazing thiugh. After 4 years I don't think the craving will ever really go away.
I am a country mouse here in rural Illinois and got up at 5 am. Lily and I do our 3.2 mile walk about then every day because the heat and humidity later in the day makes it too hard for her. I tend to wake up when the sun is peaking out even without an alarm anyway. I don't sleep nearly as much now that I am thin and yet I have way more energy! I will also do 30 minutes on the bike at some point today. Post op 46 months and weight at 118 today. This heat just really makes me not at all hungry and food just tastes blah right now. Plans for today include some chores around the house, going to a gun show with hubby and picking up the youngest at the airport at 6 pm when he flies in from Atlanta. He'll be home for 10 days and tomorrow through either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning we will be camping at a state park about 2 hours away from home. Not sure if we'll stay 2 or 3 nights depends on how much fun we're having! Food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz chicken straps grilled 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz chicken straps on 1/2 c mixed greens with blue cheese dressing S Pure Protein chocolate protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Good Morning Everyone!
Love, love, LOVE your new avatar picture, JB!!!
QOTD: I'm a Country mouse living in Nebraska. Our house is in a quiet little subdivision across from a pasture full of sheep. We only live 1 mile from town; it feels like we live in the country, yet we have the convenience of the town being only minutes away. Our town is only 30,000 people but being a college town it has plenty of things to do so I have the best of both worlds.
Yesterday I ate: a protein shake, muscletech mission 1 protein bar, Lean Cuisine Enchilada, Mr. Cheese O's, Clif protein bar, 1 slice pizza, toppings only. Calories were kind of high. Will try to do better today.
Have a super Saturday everyone!

Hi JB and weekend gang. JB I LOVE the new AVATAR, sooooooo pretty!!!
So sorry your day got derailed by a work issue, but so glad you slept on it and are feeling better. I think a day with your great boyfriend and friend will certainly help you forget the work crap!
QOTD: you pretty much wrote exactly what I would have written!!!! I am both a city mouse and country mouse! I grew up in the country, our next door neighbor was a cattle farm and we played over there all the time! It was a fabulous upbringing and I loved the country. I turned 18 and longed for the city, the lights, the entertainment, shopping restaurants! So I moved in the city for school and stayed until my early 30s, then bought a house with my hubby in the suburbs and now in my 40s I love the suburbs but I work in downtown Toronto so like you I get the best of both worlds!

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Morning everyone. I've been derailed this morning by well meaning visitors, so I need to run.
I could live in the city or country. But most of my life I've lived in between. Just the suburbs. But I could probably be happy pretty much anywhere. As long as I have room for my sweetie and my tools.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
