What's on your (Photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Morning gang! AV is MIA, so I'm starting this thing out. I have had a rough week, even though it's been a 4 day for me, and I have a deadline looming next week and I'm feeling pressure here at work. But I'm also feeling very disconnected from my work, if you can understand that. My hubby got called out of town unexpectedly last night, so it was just me and the little, since the big is in Ecuador. Last night was rough, and this morning is not much better. My MIL had a stint put in yesterday and is home, but is not able to watch the kids for at least a week, so I had to take my little to stay with my SIL and the neices today. he doesn't see them as often as he should, and he had a huge meltdown when I was leaving. While I was driving she tried to have him call me to reassure him I'd be back and it just sent him into a downward spiral. he was just hysterical on the phone. He's only 2 and a half and has become very clingy, and with hubby leaving so sporadically, it's got to be hard for him. It broke my heart.
I just got a text from my SIL that said he's calmed now and playing, so that makes me feel better.

Aww, sorry you're having a rough week Deanna. The weekend is here! Tomorrow morning me and my girl are doing a 5K again. I hope to jog a little this time, I totally know I cannot jog the whole thing. Then afterwards we are going to get my son a puppy. It's an English Shepherd, he's 15 and has never had a pet that was truly "his", so he's pumped. He's a very "man's man" kind of guy, so he's excited to get this dog. My husband and him have been burying cable for an underground fence for the past 3 days. (We had this in our basement for years, bought it a while ago....too bad--they have wireless now! haha). On Sunday I will work a 12 hour OT shift. Almost enough money for plane tickets to Hawaii now!
My favorite protein is probably chicken too. Used to be shrimp and eggs but neither sound as good now. I hope they entice me back, they are both good sources and shrimp is low calorie.
B- 1oz hot & spicy salami, most of a cheddar cheesestick
L- ricotta bake with spinach
D-grilled chicken
S- triple zero yogurt
S- premier protein shake
Totals: Cals-735; protein-85; carbs-34; fat-29
Pic is just me at work today, boring....

You look fantastic in your work pic!! Good luck on the 5k this weekend, for sure try some jogging! My husband said to me recently as I was complaining that I am such a slow runner "you might be slow but you are lapping everyone sitting on their couches right now". Gotta start somewhere right? Best of luck!
Can't wait to see pics of the puppy!!!
Have a fabulous weekend! And YAY for OT and almost have the flights paid for!!!
