I have tried them, and while delicious they do not agree with me... it is trial and error, I would find them somewhere where you can just buy one. Maybe walmart

Quest brownie bars -- microwave about 10-12 seconds ... yum.  Just found a much less expensive, but very similar protein bar from Costco -- Kirkland brand has 20 bars for just $18 (choc chip cookie dough &  chocolate brownie variety box).  Also excellent warmed 10 secs.  Calories 190 Fat 7 Carbs 23 Fiber 15 Sugar 1 Erythritol 4 Protein 21.  I saw here recently that NYMom found them, too, so if you have a Costco near, you might check those out.  Even if they're not your fave, not as big an investment as Quest. Costco also have variety 3 flavors of Pure Protein. They are OK, but I think KarenP8 would tell you not as good as other choices!

Yes I prefer the mission 1 to the pure protein. I don't taste the protein taste as much and they have a creamy instead of a gritty texture. Also the mission 1 have no sugar alcohols which really give me gas and tummy issues.

I'll be 8 years out on July 8th so I've tried many protein bars.  Tastes vary so much from person to person.  I like the Quest bars although I think they are pricey.  The Premier Protein bars are good but IMO too many carbs.  Oh Yeah tastes like a Baby Ruth and I split those bars into 3 servings.  Love Power Crunch bars.  I keep them in the freezer.

Netrition.com is a good source for bars and other supplements.  They have a $5.95 shipping charge that is the same whether you spend $5 or $50.

Enjoy your traveling!!

I second the Kirkland Brand just mentioned... Cheaper and to me taste wayyyy better than Quest Bars.

Love Power Crunch and GNC lean bars. To me it is all about texture and that is why I don't particularly like Quest Bars. Although you can bake quest bars into cookies...

The Power Crunch remind me of old fashioned sugar wafer cookies and the GNC Lean Bars remind me of Rice Krispie Treats.... Yeah, you can see where my heads at. LOL.

Thinner but not cured...
