Protein bars

Monday will be six weeks out for me and I get to try and expirementwith solid food. Im going on two fairly long trips this summer and would like to take along some protein bars to have when I don't have good choices.

So what's your personal favorites? I'm looking at the variety pack of Quest bars on Amazon. I think you get 12 different bars for about $25. Is this a good deal?

for quest I like the choc chip, brownie, apple pie, chocolate mint,

i have not tried the smores one due to sugar alchohol

i like the power crunch but only 1/2 at a time so it doesn't cause gastric issues

Smores sit heavy in me after 1/2 bar. I have stopped buying them 

I buy mine at Walmart and use either Pure Protein or Mission 1 bars. The mission 1 are my favorite because I like the taste and that they have no sugar alcohols.

but they run about $2.50 a bar, so your deal from Amazon is better.  

My favorite bars used to be Pure Protein.  Then 2 weeks ago I tried the Powercrunch bars.  OMG, they are SOOOO delish!  The mint chocolate taste like Girl Scout mint cookies, the triple chocolate tastes like a Twix bar.

In addition to eating them by themselves, I also like to crush them for use in yogurt and protein ice cream.  The best part, they are available in just about every store and they won't break the bank!

What about Detour whey protein at Costco? Good or not?
