Small pouch day vs. Intolerance
So, over a year out and I'm still trying to figure out my new digestive system. I know dense proteins satisfies longer-- but I'm having trouble identifying 'full' from not being able to tolerate something.
I made curry chicken last night--legs & thighs. last night I ate a thigh- nothing big- it weighed 3.6 oz- no skin with bone. I *barely* got through it. I had to stop twice cause I really felt like I was gonna hurl. I took my time and was able to eat it.
Took left overs for lunch-- today leg & thigh (who was I kidding??) Again-- feeling almost like I was going to hurl within a few bites. So at what point do I accept defeat that this just isn't agreeing with me-- or do I just call it a "small pouch" day?
I'll say do not like this feeling at all. It doesn't happen with other dense proteins, Chicken breasts, steaks, burgers, turkey- etc-- are no problem.

I'm so new I have no business replying but I was just wondering if it was the curry?

Hmmm...early on curry didn't agree with me-- it was the only thing that made me throw up. I've been able to tolerate it with other of meats though. Maybe my body is disliking it once again...
I think I'll try cooking it w/o the curry next tme and see if that's the issue

Sometimes I have those days. I can eat something once and it be fine then the next day it not. I think my problem is I forget that I had the surgery and eat way too fast and forget I have to chew chew chew.
I am sometimes happy when I can't eat that much. I know it's working still.
I can see how a fattier piece makes you feel icky- fats do that to me too. It why I haven't eaten anything fried- I feel miserable if I do. More often than not I'm having white meat-- so I'm gonna give it one more go, sans curry to see if its just he meat that the issue. I won't be surprised if it is.
I'm of Jamaican decent-- I can't live w/o my curry!

It sounds like intolerance to me.
For me, small pouch days are when I get full quickly and can't even eat the 3 oz of meat I've portioned out. I feel full, but not sick.
Sometimes, something I've had before makes me feel terrible. I'll avoid it like the plague for a while. ( Curry did me in too, actually ). I'll eventually try it again and it'll be okay. So so weird.
