I recall that is an area that they say will be sore for awhile after surgery as it is where the most 'moving around' takes place. I remember the pain every time I stood up. Though, it wasn't a constant pain...but there was pain when strained as well as topical pain for me. Call your doc just to be on the safe side.

I wouldn't have called it "pain", but I had some twinges in that same area as well. I assumed it to be a normal part of the surgery and healing process, I typically sleep on that side as well and I was doing a lot of sleeping. In my case it went away and wasn't a problem.
If you are in pain, you should have it looked at definately.
I will sometimes get pain there still if I need to poop.....could that possibly be it? At 4 wks like yourself, and even up to the first few months... I was having terrible trouble getting my bowel issues resolved. Not a fun time !!!
