Good Day everyone!

This weekend I didn't do much because I was not feeling great.  I had a bout of colon spasms that were just plain awful.  One thing I did accomplish was completing a job application to make this temporary job I'm in permanent.  Wish me luck!

QOTD: I've always been a little fascinated by Alice in Wonderland, so I think I'd like to visit Wonderland. Of course, I've never read the book, so I'm talking about the TV version of Wonderland.

Good morning everyone.  Sorry about the playoff loss, but luckily you were there to apply frozen custard.

Had a good weekend.  Walked in the Pride parade on Sunday (awesome!), and then visited my Dad.  He is doing well.  A bit confused and so BORED!  Poor guy.  He is showing some improvement, but still cannot get up or transfer on his own.  It is still early, but he has a long way to go before we can think about him going back to his house.  Thanks for all of your good wishes for my Dad.  It really does help.

QOTD:  Narnia for sure, but Narnia under the rule of King Peter, and not when it was always winter and never Christmas (best line in a book, ever!).  And maybe Asgard, so I could look at Thor all day.

Time Since Surgery:  19 months

B:  Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette

S:  Ellenos Greek Yogurt - Passionfruit

L:  4 oz chicken breast

S: 3 oz deli roast beef

D: 5 oz seared scallops.  I didn't cook that artichoke this weekend, so maybe I will do that tonight.

I was SO disappointed the first time that I tried Turkish Delight after reading Narnia. I was expecting it to be the MOST AMAZING tasting thing and was floored that the kid basically sold out his family for that crappy candy. I would only betray my friends and family for fudgy chocolate...

That is so funny.  I feel exactly the same way.  I thought Turkish Delight had to be the most delicious thing in the world, and it was terrible. A little piece of my childhood died that day.

Now I feel there are two things I have to try one day, just to say I have...Turkish delight (although it doesn't sound like I am missing much) and Naan.  Where would I find these things?
