What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Morning gang. I have the day off today and I'm posting this from my phone. We took my oldest to the airport toss morning for his 9 days to Ecuador. I got a little emotional on the way home when I realized that he'll be 17 this summer and is basically a man grown. Here are some pics from this morning.
I ran my 5k on Friday night and finished 22 seconds slower than my personal best. It was 90 degrees, I had been up for 14 hours when the race started and had worked all day. I call that a win.
As for my food this weekend, I'm struggling hard. I had some bad RH on Saturday when I had a glass of wine and then some chocolate at my nephews grad party. I had to walk home and lie down for a bit. Today hasn't started out any better.
We're headed to the zoo in a bit. So food it up in the air. I'm having meat for dinner. Hoping to make good choices.
Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning! Yes, the little break we had with the heat is now over and to welcome the first official day of summer we will be close to 100 degrees-today I am thankful for A/C.
Weekend was pretty uneventful, well until yesterday afternoon when our neighbor from across the street rang our doorbell on the afternoon to let us know his wife had backed into my hubby's parked car. Luckily there isn't too much damage and a new headlight and bumper and he should be all set.
QOTD: The first that comes to mind is the tree house in Swiss Family Robinson, loves that as a kid.

You all don't know what you're missing. I took 2 of my cousins to see the movies ****il they decided they were too cool to be seen with their cousin) and had all the books delivered to them. We decided to end the series as it started and see the last movie together. When it was over, I looked at my 19 year old cousin who had tears streaming down his face. He looked and me and said "I feel like part of my childhood just died." Ugh, we were a mess. But the books are amazing!!
