What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! I had such a fun weekend ya'll. Riley and I shopped and walked in the Bubble Run, which may be oxymoronic, since we walked a 5K instead of ran it, but baby steps... Next Saturday we are doing another 5K, I promised her I would jog some of it. Skipped yoga this morning because I stayed up to watch the NBA finals and it was TOO late when I went to bed. Will go tomorrow. Yesterday was spent at the lake with family, just an overall great weekend.
QOTD: this is a tough one for me, because even though I enjoy fictional books/characters, the ones I enjoy most are based on actual historical places. For instance: I love Lord of the Rings movies, but I would never want to visit there--maybe the Shire, but that's it. Or, I'm a historical romance fan, but I think I would get bored just greeting people and getting ready for parties and then doing it all again the next day.

Good morning! I am posting from bed this morning so excuse the typing errors. I DID IT! I completed another half iron distance triathlon! I came in at 7 hr 22 min. And although that is 18 min slower than last the race this race was 3 times as hard (omg hills) Plus it was 90+ degrees! The swim and bike were great but I fell apart on the run. It was just too damn hot.
I'll add photos when I get out of bed! PHOTOS! (I'm out of bed!)
IT WAS AN UPHILL FINISH! How mean is that!!
The aftermath, I'm more sore from the sunburn than from the physical activity!
QOTD: Hogwarts! Universal Florida is magical!
unknown menu today but I think I'll start with Bacon and Eggs!
Thank you! I will say that it takes A LOT of time to train for these races. I leave my family for 3-7 hrs on each weekend day. Early morning training and sometimes right after work. I am blessed with an incredibly supportive husband who is willing to take on more than he would normally. My kids are proud of their mama but I try to make the time I do spend with them count. Lots of snuggling after workouts. It's a balancing act for sure.
That's amazing! I can't even imagine doing that. You are a superstar!

You are such an inspiration. I can barely get myself on meal plan while you are quietly killing it on the discipline. So proud of you!!!
