What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! T minus 48 hours until my second half Iron triathlon. For those of you that aren't a tri freak like me, a half iron distance tri is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 miles on the bike, and a 13.1 mile run (in that order). I hope to do this in under 7hr. 30 min. If you don't finish in 8hr 30 min you get a DNF (did not finish) and I'm really going to try and avoid that! It's supposed to be 91 degree here on Sunday so I am going to have to be super diligent about getting in my fluids and fuel. Also, i may want to remember the sunscreen! Here is a pic of me at last weekend's tri. I was the swim leg of a relay (which I killed - 2nd in my division!! whoo hoo). Our team "No nuts, just guts" crossed the finish line as a team with our runner. I ran barefoot and I'm holding my flip-flops but I am just so happy. Triing just makes me so happy!
