Pain during bowel movement
im 7 weeks out from a mini gastric bypass. I'm sorry for giving out too much information but ever since I had my surgery and every time I get a bowel movement (passing stools) I get with it a really bad abdominal cramping similar to the one I get during a really bad mensturation.. I have been waiting for things to get better but so far it's not. Sometimes the pain would even wake me up from sleep and lasts around 20 minutes. Is this something I just have to live with or is it something temporary and will get better by time?
I'm 6.5 weeks out and never experienced anything like this. Are you constipated? If so I'd try miralax daily . I hope you get some answers

Talk to the doc.
Sometimes pain like that may be caused by gallbladder stones. Or hernia...
Pain that wakes you up in a middle of the night is not good.
I had that in the past . during surgery they removed my GB and fixed ...internal hernia... Good luck..

I had WLS to live better thus I think you shouldn't live with unexplained pain. You could either wait or you could get checked-out. Can you guess what most of us would vote for? Yes, please get checked-out. Here are my unprofessional thoughts: First thought: internal hernia? Second thought: twisted intestine or partial blockage? Third thought: worth a medical appointment sooner rather than later with a second appointment scheduled if told nothing and the problem persists.
