My Quest bar quest.

The banana nut Quest bar is my favorite.  The flavor is truly that of a banana nut muffin.

The other night I took a Quest bar with me to eat before bed.  It must have been melting in my car at some point because it was stuck to the wrapper.  I had to work like hell to get it out of the wrapper.   I was lying down when I ate it.

I woke up in the middle of the night and headed for the bathroom.  As I ran my fingers through my hair, they became stuck on the left side of my head.  Something sticky was in my hair   I tried pulling off whatever it was slowly, but it had basically dissolved into my hair.  And we're talking super glue sticky.  Ugh.  

A piece of the Quest bar must have broken off, fallen onto my pillow and worked its way into my hair.  I had to run ho****er in the shower, shampoo, then use heaps of conditioner to get that **** out of my hair.

Obviously the FSM was trying to tell me something - DON'T EAT IN BED, AND CERTAINLY NOT A QUEST BAR.

You have been warned.  Don't let this happen to you

I'm afraid Lucy the demon dog would eat the food out of my hair while I slept. She had gotten her paws on half Quest bars I've left around. She loves them. She loves everything. She like her mother is prone to obesity.  

I really dislike Quest bars. Just cannot stand the taste of them. I was so excited to try one - I wasn't planning on wanting to eat them all the time, but rather for my emergency portable food. But only tried 2 and never again.

However I am in LOVE with Power Crunch bars. Admittedly have only had 2 but the two flavors - vanilla and cookies & crème made me realize they could ONLY be emergency portable food because otherwise I would want them all the time lol. I keep one in the car, one in my desk and take one when I travel just in case. But I really love the taste.

I have a box of the Wild Berry Creme Power Crunch bars....

I try to forget that I have them, they are so stinking good.  I haven't had one in a while, hmmm.  Might be in for a treat tonight!

That's great to know, I saw them in the grocery store and wondered if they were allowed after surgery.

I don't like the 3 Quest bar flavors I have tried (choc chip, brownie, apple pie).  I'm willing to try the banana but I'm not hopeful that I will like it. I don't know if it's the taste, the texture, or both that I don't like. 

However, the Powercrunch bars are a totally different story.  OMG, these are SO good!  The mint chocolate are like eating Girl Scout mint cookies.  The triple chocolate reminds me of a Twix bar.  

I keep my Powercrunch bars in the refrigerator.  I have big plans for these bars!  It involves using them to make protein ice cream desserts with my new Cusinart ice cream machine.

Oooh, that intrigues me. I need an update on that when you do that!

Love Power Crunch Bars.... Have you tried their new crisp bars? Brownie or salted caramel... delicious. I only find them at vitamin shoppe.
