Good morning everyone,
Today's my one month post op appointment. I'm interested in seeing what the doctor's scale says since it's always higher than mine, lol. On my scale this morning I've lost 19.8 pounds since surgery. Not too bad. I've started walking every morning and am loving the already decreased pain in my joints.
Qotd: Camping, shudder! I do love to travel. My 77 yo mom is a globe trotter still and takes me (all expenses paid) on a big trip each summer. This year we are going to Prince Edward Island in July and then back to Canada in August to visit my son who lives in Combermere.
I'm struggling a bit with planning food. I have found that I don't get hungry until noon. So I drink a protein shake about 11:00, probably deli meat for lunch, and then chicken or egg salad for dinner. Confession: I've been snacking on laughing cow light cheese wedges and a T of peanut butter. I really need to get PB2. It's on my grocery list for tomorrow.
Here's my stats from yesterday:
Calories: 767 Carbs: 39 Protein: 59 (I have to work on more protein today!)
SW: 270 CW: 181.4 GW: 165

Hi all
I missed yesterdays posting but did read most of the responses.
My luncheon was good- had salmon and some cooked spinach.
Dr appt went fine also- He seemed to think the ulcer had not healed (some take longer they said) which is why they put me back on the meds 2 weeks ago. I have to finish out the meds then I'm good to go. No scope needed! AND I don't have to go back for 6 months which will be my 1 year anniv of surgery. They also ordered bloodwork. So excited but it is a strange feeling also since it seems I've had to go in to see the surgeon and now I'm being turned loose! It was recommended for me not to do the patch vits until 1 year out, so I must wait for that.
QOTD: Before this surgery I hated everything outdoors. I'm also the whitest person on the planet so I burn easily. And because of my weight I was a miserable %#$# if I got hot. We never vacationed in the summer because of it. Now even when it is hot I feel comfortable. It is a really weird feeling. I THINK I will like camping and we are buying on I think this weekend. It is a vintage one from the 1950's. Also having work done to the truck so it can tow it. We probably wont go anywhere 4th of july but will probably plan a weekend trip to a close by campground soon after so I can 'retry' it out again. i hated camping as a child

Hey, off topic, but I tried Swap.com and got a ton of jeans for the kids for fall! Happy! I just wish they had men's clothing also, but even if I can find myself stuff on there as I go through sizes, it will be great. Thanks for the tip! (Also planning to sell my "too big" stuff on there, but they aren't accepting items until Sept).
