QOTD: I know I am probably weird but I love rummage sales this time of year. I love to find a good deal and upcycle and re- imagine my finds. I used to love hiking and camping also, but it has been awhile. Love to have just a couple of good friends over for a cookout.

 

B:  2 oz ham with 1 oz low fat cheese melted on top.

L: 2 oz ground taco meat with 1 oz cheese

D: 2 oz turkey sausage

I'm making great use out of the my fitness food tracker (Thank you for the advice!!). I'm coming up short on my protein goals though. The doctor wants me to stop using shakes and get all the protein from food but I'm thinking since my surgery is still very new that I might use the shakes if I can't meet my goals at the moment. It just seems like so much food to eat right now to hit the minimum of 60. 

10 days since surgery 

 

B: Light & Fit Greek Yogurt

L: fat free refried beans w/ a Tbsp of shredded cheese 

S: low fat cheese stick 

D: Tuna Salad 

S: low fat cheese stick 

 

Totals Cals: 580  Protein: 48  Carbs 28 Fat : 31

I am almost 2 years out, and just starting to not use a shake every day. Do what works for you.... If it starts not working, then you change it up...

Good morning OH peeps!  I am late posting today (later than usual) because I had to drop Layla off at the kitty spa, and then go to my clinic for my monthly B12 shot and weigh in.  Layla was not a happy girl, and let me know it.  Wrangling her into the cat carrier was all kinds of fun.  She is very bendy when she wants to be.  She is going to be really irritated with me when I pick her up because I am having them shave her rear end.  She is a long hair, and has fur pants, so it can get a little messy at times (too much information?).  She considers the shave an assault on her dignity.

This week has been total crap.  We moved my Dad to a rehab facility on Monday.  He is a little confused, and not happy about being there, but knows there are no other reasonable options.  His care giver (who is a saint) visits him daily, and is at all of his rehab sessions.  She can push him, and he will listen to her when he might not his pesky kids.  It is just so hard seeing him like this, and it doesn't help that I am not sleeping very well.  Getting old ain't for sissies!

QOTD:  I love all things outside during the summer.  Working in the garden, dinner on the patio, sidewalk cafes, lounging by the pool, beach weekends, having my coffee in the garden in the morning, long walks around the 'hood, outdoor concerts and festivals.  The list goes on.  I have a day bed on one of my patios, that is nicely shaded in the afternoon.  I love lounging on it on a hot summer day, and reading.  It is the best, most relaxing thing.

My picture below is of my outfit today.  A white skirt.  The possibilities for disaster are endless!

B:  Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette

S:  TJ's string cheese and cherries

L: 4 oz. rib eye

S:  Ellenos Greek Yogurt - Marionberry

D:  4 oz prawns, sauteed with shallots and garlic

Totals:  Calories 674, Carbs 37, Protein 76

I'm low on calories, so I will probably add an evening snack in there.  Probably some chicken breast (or boobs as they will be henceforth known as).

I know.  Coffee has a tendency to leap out of my hand when I am wearing white.  So far so good, and keeping to clear beverages to make sure it stays that way.

I can sympathize with Layla. I get really irritated when someone holds me down and shaves my rear end.

I love that outfit!  White skirt is especially cute.  One benefit to getting older:  possibilities for white-skirt problems are less, right?  At least, for those of us past periods.  Uggh.  So glad I am past that!  Time to wear more white!
