Portions
I'm one month post op tomorrow and officially on soft foods as of two days ago. My question is how much were you eating at one month out?
My nut says 1/4 cup and sometimes that's too much and sometimes not enough. My nut is great but also recommends Mac and cheese and potato soup and hot dogs for this stage, so I weigh what she says and try to find what works for me.
So sometimes I eat 1/4 cup, sometimes 1/2 cup and sometimes not at all. My stats are good. 700-800 calories with around 70 grams protein and always less than 50 carbs.

As you know all plans all drs are different but at 1 month out my plan goes to 1/2 cup to 1 cup. I've noticed at breakfast I do about 1/4 cup.... Lunch I can do more and by dinner I am able to eat a cup .

Wow. One cup at a month out is a lot. My surgeon recommended 1/2 cup for a long time. I was not able to eat 1 cup until over a year out.

I know I'm not happy about it and now that I'm post off and have everyone else to compare it to that's why I was so concerned that everyone is eating such a small amount and not only am I able to eat that amount that's what he recommends so I worry a lot that his practices to make a larger pouch

I still can't figure out how to put a photo in my reply once I have it on "my photos" but I am posting a pic of his guidelines and it's so much more than everyone else

I'm at one month out and on the soft foods part of my journey. I only eat 1/4 a cup of anything, but mac and cheese? That goes against everything my nut told me. I was told to stay away from carbs for the most part and try to fit in as much protein as possible. Although it looks like your getting in plenty of protein now, I guess a little bit wouldn't hurt but then I'm no nutritionist.
I can't listen to mine either. They told me I could eat bread and everything in moderation and I don't feel that's true yet at 6 weeks while I'm trying to lose . They also insist on 1000 calories now as I took a picture of it and posted it in my profile but can't figure out how to put it here on the message board .
